Battlefield 2042players have not had the best experience with the game thus far. WhileBattlefield 2042has been praised for its exciting gameplay, the game has had multiple issues relating to glitches and bugs in its short life span. However, it seems as though a few more issues have since been rectified.
The current batch of issues that DICE has attended to relate to players rubber banding when moving behind friendly players and players becoming stuck after explosions create craters. DICE is said to have fully rectified these issues in the January 20 update, although a few other issues arose from it as well.

Many of the game’s major issues have been patched, however, there are a few that have slipped through the cracks. One of the glitches in particular regards the fact thattakedowns are still broken inBattlefield 2042. One player recorded themselves trying to perform a takedown on an enemy only for the enemy player to survive the attack. The opposing player then swiftly killed the player recording the video whose body had glitched out causing the player’s chest to appear invisible.
DICE also recently removedBattlefield 2042’s zombie mode, which was added in the update as it was being used to farm XP. This is not the first time thatBattlefield 2042’s Portal mode has been used to farm XP as DICE has previously had to disable XP progression in the game entirely not too long ago. DICE decided it would be easier to remove the mode entirely for the time being until the company was properly able to rectify the issue.
In some good news regarding the game,DICE has confirmed thatBattlefield 2042’s scoreboard will be changed next month. ManyBattlefield 2042players have been asking for changes to the game’s scoreboard ever since it released as the current scoreboard doesn’t allow players to see how they stack up to other players in the lobby. DICE has stated the new and improved scoreboard should arrive some time in mid to late February.
The most surprising news of all regarding the game is thatEA is considering makingBattlefield 2042free-to-play. The company is allegedly very disappointed with how the game has been received and views it to be a “disappointment.” Renowned leaker Tom Henderson has stated that while the game may not be entirely free-to-play, some aspects of the game may become free with a more extensive Battle Pass and Item Shop being considered.
Battlefield 2042is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
