With a franchise spanning almost 20 years,Call of Dutyis no stranger to innovation. From the jetpack era to the classic boots-on-the-ground WW2 setting. With the latest game set forlast-gen and current-genconsoles, there could be a lot of improvements from the previousCall of Dutygames.
9More Season Content
When Battle Royale games hit the gaming scene a few years ago, none could expect the tidal wave of content and entertainment available through them. One of the more successful seasonal games, is the free-to-play Battle Royale titan,Fortnite.
Call of Dutyalready has seasonal content and a battlepass with its own Battle Royale,Warzone. However, for the mainline games likeModern Warfare 2, it would be great to see an improvement in the content within the season. More maps, guns, attachments, and skins. It would be great to grind out a battlepass because everything on it is worth getting, and not just for filler content.

8Variety Of Game Modes
Something thatCall of Dutyhas always done reasonably well is theabundance of game modes. From the classic modes like team deathmatch, free-for-all, and the highly intense search-and-destroy. Game modes add such a variety of fun toCall of Duty, as players can just find a different game mode to enjoy if they tire of another.

Modern Warfare 2should improve upon the library of game modes, and give fans the choice between 2-v-2s, 3-v-3s, and the great party games that players loved from otherCall of Dutytitles. Such as prop hunt, Michael Myers, and the classics like one-in-a-chamber. It helps to keep life in the title.
7Tagging System
As games evolve, so do the players. Most multiplayer games are becoming more competitive than the last.Modern Warfare 2won’t be the exception to this rule. Games change, and player tactics do. Games likeFortniteimplement a thorough tagging system, in which players can tag locations, warnings, and weaponry.
Such thorough detail to a tagging system would make game modes like search-and-destroy feel more tactical, and bring a level of immersion to a first-person shooter. It’s also an innovative feature for playing with randoms, without the communication of mics and texts. That brief and quick warning could save a teammate’s life.

6Field Upgrades
Field upgrades have been a staple ofCall of Dutyfor a lot of years now. From tactical insertions to trophy systems. Players each have their preference of side abilities that can assist them inkeeping that kill streak goingor just being a saboteur.
With the latestCall of Dutyrelease, Infinity Ward would be smart to include even more field upgrades, and to a degree, allow players to upgrade them as they see fit with special perks. By building an individual element intoModern Warfare 2, the game can have unique load-outs for each player.

5Mind-Blowing Graphics
With consoles slowly phasing out PlayStation 4s and Xbox Ones into the newer PlayStation 5s and Xbox Series X, load times and graphical capabilities are greatly increasing. ForModern Warfare 2to evolve past otherCall of Dutytitles, its newest set of graphics should be the best ones yet.
Call of Dutyis a franchise that is no stranger to great graphics. All titles are impressive, and constantly growing in what they are capable of. Whether that’s the horrifying beauty of buildings collapsing, with rubble and dust painting the battlefield, or the blood and sweat on characters’ faces.Modern Warfare 2will surely be a treat for graphics lovers.

4Collabs
The modern thing with games is collaborations with other franchises and entertainment.Fortniteis a staple of this design, as there is skin or emotes for almost anyone. This can range from the singer Ariana Grande orStar Warscharacters likeObi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader.
The team behindCall of Dutyshould try and bring in characters from existing franchises to join the fun withTask Force 141.Call of Dutyis no stranger to collaboration, as Godzilla vs King Kong was recently in Warzone, as was Judge Dredd as a skin.

3Reinvention Of The Campaign
Many fans regard 2009’sModern Warfare 2’s campaign as the best thatCall of Dutyhas to offer. With the reboot of the Modern Warfare franchise, the sequel has already teased classic characters like Ghost and Soap. Fans are divided on whether they want to see the story unfold as it did in 2009, or have a different plot altogether. Either way, as long asVeteran difficultyreturns, fans will be happy.

One of the main reasons fans are adamant to seeModern Warfare 2’s original campaign done for this 2022 reboot, is because of the death of fan-favorite characters. There’s also a lot of sensitive subject matter, like theoriginal mission titled “No Russian”.
2Map Rotation
Charm comes in many forms for theCall of Dutygames. When players embark on multiplayer, they like a wide selection of maps to keep gameplay interesting, and not repeat the same map over and over.Modern Warfare 2can improve over the previous game by having a large library of maps.
These maps can be remakes of the classics, or new ones that players have not seen before. By rotating out the maps, it keeps each season feeling fresh and exciting, as players will not know what they will get.

1Zombies
When players ofCall of Duty:World at Warfinished the riveting campaign, none expected to be thrown into a zombie infestation. The game mode had players kill zombies to get points, purchase weapons, to survive as many rounds as they could before they were taken down by the strengthened horde of the undead.
Each iteration ofCall of Dutyhassome form of Zombies content. It’s a tried and tested game mode, and each iteration is brimming with charm and the opportunity for interesting maps, perks, and enemies.Modern Warfare 2should invest in a team to work solely on this content, which has a fanbase of its own.
