The newMiss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Sakuretsu!! Chorogon Breathgame will be released on March 24th, 2021, the game’s official Twitter account announced.
Thegame will be releasedfor both the Switch and the PlayStation 4, with an English release planned for a spring release as well. The scrolling shoot ‘em up game will have a limited edition containing a guidebook, exclusive manga, as well as a Weiß Schwarz PR card which will come in a unique illustrated box.

The title is being developed by Kaminari Games, a subsidiary of game developer MOSS. The Tokyo-based studio was founded in 1993 and is best known for theRaidenseries and has also worked on2010’s Neo Geo Heroes: Ultimate Shootingand 2014’sCaladrius Blaze. The Kaminari Games studio was established in 2018, withSakuretsu!! Chorogon Breathserving as the first title for the fledgling developer, though they did contribute to the Switch version ofRaiden V.
Coolkyousinnjya’sMiss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maidmanga first began serialization in 2013, published in the inaugural issue of Futabasha’s Monthly Action. The series currently has 11 collected volumes and has inspired a number of spin-offs alongside an anime adaption.
TheMiss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Kanna’s Daily Lifespin-off first startedserialization in 2016 and has amassed 9 collected volumes. Another spin-off focusing on Elma, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Elma’s Office Lady Diary, was released the following year and has amassed 5 collected volumes so far. The third spin-off,Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Lucoa is my xx, started serialization in 2019 and has 3 collected volumes. A final spin-off series,Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Fafnir the Recluse, has been running since November 2020.
An anime adaptationproduced by Kyoto Animationfirst aired in 2017, with a second season,Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S, airing in 2021. Yasuhiro Takemoto, who directedThe Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya,Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid, andLucky Starworked on both seasons. Composer Masumi Itō handled the music and returned for the 2021 series.
Crunchyroll streamed both seasons of the anime as they aired, with Funimation streaming and producing an English dub. Seven Seas publishes the manga in English alongside the Kanna and Elma spin-offs.
