Every one ofMinecraft’s procedurally-generated worlds give players a different experience when starting a new game, but one incredibly fortunate fan makes an amazing discovery when mining beneath their starting base that essentially allows them to skip a big part of the game. With every world inMinecraftgenerated from a unique seed, the potential for adventure and discovery within the game is practically endless.

World seeds inMinecraftdictate everything in terms of a world’s generation, including biome placements, cave network generation, and even structure spawns. This means that every new world inMinecraftoffers a completely new and fresh adventure, though not every world has to be born from a new seed. World seeds both new and old can be shared by players, which allows multiple people to have their own adventures in what is essentially the same world - even if those gamers are in singleplayer mode. Entering an existing world seed also allows players to find their ideal world to play and build in, ascountless awesomeMinecraftseeds can be found online.

Starting out can always be either a simple or incredibly challenging task, asMinecraftcan spawn players in a resource-rich junglejust as easily as it can spawn them on a barren island in the middle of nowhere. One player though, a fan known as Nicalay2 on Reddit, hits the jackpot after they discover a massive structure right beneath the small base they create at the beginning of their game. The video attached to the post on Reddit shows the player’s narrow tunnel leading down from their base and into a stronghold, giving them access to a loot-rich, endgame area right at the start of their adventure.

Strongholds inMinecraftare just one of many unique, pre-generated structures that populate every world in the sandbox game. That said, strongholds are particularly important sites to visit, as they’re the only places where players can findportals capable of taking them toMinecraft’s End dimension, and thus the end of the game itself. These places are always found deep underground, and while finding them usually requires the crafting and use of Eyes of Ender, lucky players can simply come across them during regular mining expeditions too.

Naturally-occurring structures inMinecraftseem to have become far more popular in recent years, as updates often use them as a way of implementing new and expansive areas for players to discover. Thetrail ruins added inMinecraft’s latest Trails and Tales updateare just another example of such a structure, though perhaps the most significant structures added to the game in recent history are the Ancient Cities, which saw the introduction of the terrifying Warden mob and multiple new blocks.

Minecraftis available on mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and most legacy platforms.
