AMinecraftplayer has built an incredible Survival base that shares some similarities to the new crab mob.MinecraftLive is set for October 15 this year, and it’s being joined by a mob vote between the crab, armadillo, and a creature that’s currently a mystery.

Mojang has updatedMinecraftmany times over the years, with some things brought to a community vote. Among the animals that have beenadded toMinecraftdue to mob votesare Sniffers, glow squids, axolotls, and goats. Because these mobs were accepted in the past, others like the Glare, Moo Bloom, Rascal, and the Copper and Tuff Golems have seemingly been lost to time. In celebration of the upcomingMinecraftmob vote featuring the crab, one player has made an incredible base dedicated to the potential new animal.

Reddit user TomOnMars recently shared five images of an impressive crab base inMinecraftSurvival mode. With one image showing the crab base in its natural habitat, the massive scale of the creation is highlighted by a backdrop of multiple trees and a small body of water. Unlike theMinecraftcrab which is a mix of blue and orange, TomOnMars' Survival base is orange and white. The colors blend together using amix ofMinecraftwoodcolors, with Acacia and red sand providing the vibrant orange color. One image showcases the details in the face of the grab base which includes trap doors, ladders, planks, and fences.

While Crimson wood can only be found in theMinecraftNether, TomOnMars' crab base utilizes the rarer wood to make its facial features stand out. Its wool and obsidian eyes give players an idea of where the crab base might be looking, but its stationary body prevents its large stature from being intimidating. One image shows an aerial view of theMinecraftcrab base to reveal a trap door in the middle of its top which may act as an alternative entrance. Eight crab claws are also visible from above, though none of them dwarf the others unlikethe mob joiningMinecraftLive 2023.

Although manyMinecraftplayers are already hoping to see the armadillo or crab join the game, it’s currently unclear which animal will succeed in the mob vote. The armadillo is expected to maketheMinecraftdesert biomemore lively, while the crab may improve oceans, lakes, and swamps. It remains unknown what biome the third mob will join should it receive the most votes.
