AMinecraftmodder who’s known for creating some pretty elaborate and complex machines in the Mojang game has managed to build a giant version ofSnake, the classic mobile title that became a phenomenon in the early 2000s, especially on old Nokia phones. Containingone of the biggest maps in gamingand endless potential for creative outlet,Minecraftis showing no signs of slowing down, despite being well over a decade old at this point.
Much of this continued popularity has to do with the fans themselves, who are forever engaged in any number of projects, from huge structures to redstone contraptions to oneMinecraftplayer who recreated “Africa” by Toto. Of course, the developer itself is working hard to keep the game in the limelight with frequent updates and new ideas being implemented, but it’s the creativity of the community where much of the heart lies.

Anyone who’s ever playedMinecraftknows the power of the building mechanics, and while the majority, especially newcomers, will begin a playthrough by making a simple base, this can easily lead to more complicated builds. Reddit user mattbatwings2 recently uploaded a clip of their latest project, which is essentially a gigantic version ofSnakemade inMinecraftusing just redstone. The clip shows it working the same way as the OG game. Anyone familiar with the classic Nokia title will see the similarities straight away. The original was a rather simple affair, but back in the early days of pre-smartphone technology, it was the height of gaming on mobile phones. When asked in the comments, mattbatwings2 said it took a few weeks “on and off” to complete the structure.
This is also not the first time the user has managed to construct something so elaborate. In the past, they’ve been known torecreate MS Paint inMinecraftin just 24 hours, build their own version ofTetris, and not long ago, they even managed to make a 3D renderer in the sandbox title. Clearly, mattbatwings2 has a lot of skill and dedication when it comes to sophisticated redstone builds.
There isso much to do inMinecraft, and a lot of people would consider it the ideal way to relieve boredom when it comes to gaming. It’s no wonder that it’s still going strong after all these years, and if the community keeps pumping out such elaborate and unique ideas, it’s going to be a long time before the world is ready to move on fromMinecraft.
