Minecraft Dungeonsreleased just last month for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox, and the first DLC will be dropping July 1st.
Reception toMinecraft Dungeonshas been phenomenal, and it hasreplacedAnimal Crossing: New Horizonson the US Nintendo eStore. The hot new DLC will give players new areas to explore, new mobs, and three new story missions, all with a humid jungle theme.

For players who already haveMinecraft Dungeons Hero Edition, this DLC is already included, but for everyone else the price for justJungle Awakensis just $5, at least ifthe leaks from last month are to be believed. Upgrading an account with a Hero Pass will also do the job for $10 and give access to future DLC as it comes out. Considering Creeping Winter is also rumored to be coming out soon, it might be worth it to upgrade to Hero Edition.
Fans have high hopes forJungle Awakens, and the number one hope is that there will be enough content to make the DLC satisfying to play through. Considering there are 10 story missions and four secret missions, the three new story missions putJungle Awakensat less than a quarter than what the base game has. The added content, mobs, and items will add value to the story lines. Ultimately, its worth is up to the players.
To tide over the Steves and Alexes of the world until the release next week, Mojang has released two game track albums on Apple Music and Spotify, one for the base game and one forJungle Awakens. Peter Hont has really done a great job of creating a jungle-appropriate atmosphere through his music, and it makes great background music for studying and writing.
Hopefully, the release will also come with a few bug fixes. Since its release, the number of issues reported on Mojang Studios’Minecraft Dungeonsbug tracker has gone up to nearly 2000, outpacing the number of issues being resolved. Considering some of these bugs arecausing major crashes for players on PC and Xbox, it is imperative that Mojang keep on top of them.
