Layla’s introduction inGenshin Impactmakes the sword + Cryo combination the first to have four characters. Like her fellow sword + Cryo characters, Layla has some icy attacks that can chill enemies to the bone.

Gemstones - Where to Find Shivada Jade
Every Cryo character needs Shivada Jade to ascend, and it can be found in many of the same ways as the other elemental gems: completing daily commissions, the Parametric Transformer, and more. For all the possible ways to acquire it, check out this guide:

Much like the other elemental gems, most of the Shivada Jade players find will be dropped by bosses. These bosses can drop the Cryo gem:
*Azhdaha and the Primo Geovishap can only drop Shivada Jade when they’re aligned with Cryo.
Enemy Drop - Where to Find Samachurl Scrolls
Samachurls are found almost everywhere, typically alongside a handful of Hilichurls. When defeated, they can drop various Scrolls, which Layla uses in her ascension. The higher level a Samachurl is, the better their drops can be:
Boss Drop - How to Get Perpetual Caliber
Like Nilou before her, Layla will need Perpetual Calibers to ascend. This unique boss drop can be obtained by defeating the Aeonblight Drake. The Aeonblight Drake can be found in Sumeru, specifically in the Ardravi Valley.
Local Specialty - Where to Find Nilotpala Lotuses
Players who had a headache finding ascension materials for Tighnari are in for more of the same, as Layla uses the same regional specialty: Nilotpala Lotuses. These flowers grow in the water around the forested side of Sumeru. Clusters of them can be found south of the Chinvat Ravine teleport waypoint, around the palace of Alcazarzaray, north of Chatrakam Cave around the crescent-shaped island, in the river running along the north side of Sumeru City, in the river south of Vimara Village, in the valley east of Devantaka Mountain, and dotted around a few other locations.

Talent Books - Ingenuity
The Ingenuity series is one of Sumeru’s three talent series, alongside Praxis and Admonition. This particular series is found in the Steeple of Ignorance domain on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Trounce Materials - Mirror of Mushin
The trounce material that Layla’s talents require is from the boss fight against Scaramouche’s deity form, Shouki no Kami, the Prodigal. It’s called Mirror of Mushin, and it’s one of three unique drops from this fight.
