Best Light Cone
Back to All Characters
Gallagher is an Abundance character inHonkai: Star Rail, but the way he heals is a little peculiar. Unlike mosthealers inHonkai: Star Railwhose healing scales with their stats like HP or ATK, Gallagher’s healing simply scales with his Trace level, making it easier to build his stat as he’s not reliant on anything to do his job.
However, even though players can freely build him with offensive or defensive stats, there’s one notable stat that Gallagher seems to benefit from the most, and it’sBreak Effect. Stacking Break Effects on Gallagher allows him to gain more Outgoing Healing bonus, based on 50% of his Break Effect. The maximum bonus he can gain from this is 75%, which means he keeps benefitting until he has a 150% Break Effect. Despite hisinclination towards Break Effect, though,Gallagher Light Cone inHonkai: Star Railcan still consist of weapons that enhance Outgoing Healing or help with the team’s Energy Regen.

S5 Passive
After the wearer uses their Basic ATK, their next action will be Advanced Forward by 20%.
Once playersunlock his fourth Ascension Trace, Gallagher has his action forwarded by 100% after using his Ultimate, meaning he gets another turn immediately. He also enhances his Basic Attack, dealing large damage based on his ATK, and reduces the enemy’s ATK and Toughness by 90.

With Multiplication, Gallagher immediately has his action forwarded by 20% after he uses Basic Attack, which basically allows him to move a lot in a single cycle.

S1 Passive
Increases the wearer’s Max HP by 16%. When using Basic ATK or Skill, restores all allies' HP by an amount equal to 2% of their respective Max HP.
If the team doesn’t benefit much from Energy-restoration Abundance Light Cone, then players can opt for Warmth Shortens Cold Nights to make Gallagher a dedicated healer. Now, each time Gallagher uses Skill and Basic Attack, he’ll additionally healthe team based on each character’s max HP.

At the start of the wearer’s turn, regenerates 16 Energy for a randomly chosen ally (excluding the wearer) whose current Energy is lower than 50%.

Gallagher can advance his own action after he uses Ultimate, which means he can trigger the Quid Pro Quo’s passive back-to-back, granting a massive 32 Energy to his teammates.
The only issue is that Quid Pro Quo is restricted by the fact that it only works on an ally with 50% Energy or less, so it doesn’t always trigger like other Abundance Light Cones with an Energy-restoration effect.

Increases the wearer’s Outgoing Healing by 20%. When using Skill, regenerates 4 Energy for all allies.
Shared Feeling grants a decent amount of Outgoing Healing bonus, and when Gallagher uses his Skill, he immediately grants Energy to all allies, including himself. This means at max Superimposition, Gallagher will restore 16 Energy in total.

One downside is that, unlike Quid Pro Quo, Shared Feeling only triggers when the wearer uses their Skill, so playersmust spend Skill Point to keep triggering it.

Increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by 16% and increases Outgoing Healing when they use their Ultimate by 24%.
Gallagher’s Ultimate isn’t only a damage-dealing ability, but it also activates his Talent, which allows teammates to heal when they attack the debuffed enemy. This means investing in Gallagher’s Energy Regeneration isn’t a bad idea.
Additionally, if players unlock Gallagher’s sixth Ascension Trace, then he’ll not only move immediately after using his Ultimate, but he’ll also heal the entire team based on his Talent’s level after he uses his enhanced Basic Attack. This means Energy Regeneration actually helps Gallagher become a better healer, damage dealer, and Toughness breaker all at the same time.
Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 48%. After using Basic ATK, restores HP for the wearer by an amount equal to 4% of Max HP plus 800.
If players wish to focus on making Gallagher a Break Effect character, then they can useWhat Is Real?To enhance his Break Effect, and, indirectly, his Outgoing Healing stat. Its second passive heals the wearer, which increases Gallagher’s own survivability, but sadly thehealing passive doesn’t affect his teammates.

Increases the wearer’s ATK by 24%. After the wearer uses an attack, for each different enemy target the wearer hits, regenerates 3 Energy. Each attack can regenerate Energy up to 3 time(s) this way. After the wearer uses their Ultimate, all allies gain 12 SPD for 1 turn.
If somehow players have Echoes of the Coffin that’s not worn byLuocha inHonkai: Star Rail, then they can use it to make Gallagher a damage dealer. The Light Cone doesn’t have effects that increase Gallagher’s healing, but it does grant ATK and allow him to use Ultimate more often. Players should only use this if they’re comfortable with the amount of Gallagher’s default healing.

Increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by 12%. When any ally uses their Ultimate, the wearer restores HP for the ally currently with the lowest HP percentage by an amount equal to 10% of the healed ally’s Max HP. When the wearer provides healing for an ally, increases the healed ally’s ATK by 2.4%. This effect can stack up to 5 times and lasts for 2 turns(s).
Night of Fright is an excellent Light Cone for Gallagher inHonkai: Star Rail. It grants Energy Regeneration for his Ultimate and allows him to further heal when he uses his Ult.
Additionally, it also makes him a mini buffer that grants ATK when an ally is healed. This is an easy tasksince his Talent, enhanced Basic Attack, and the Light Cone all allow him to heal, quickly stacking up the ATK buff from the weapon.
