Unlike other Paths inHonkai: Star Rail, Harmony characters are the best companions to any good DPS in the game. Players can always pair a decent Harmony unit with a DPS that can carry the team to ensure they’ll deal a massive amount of damage. Players may build other Paths with a lot of offensive stats even if their role didn’t require them to deal damage, but Harmony characters are like Abundance where most of theirSkills mainly focus on Supporting their allies.

However, not building them strictly on offense doesn’t mean that some Harmony characters don’t scale with these stats. For example, Bronya is a buffer where her buffs scale with Crit damage. That means the more Crit she has, the better her buff would be. With all that said, it’s important forHonkai: Star Railplayers to know who are the best Harmony characters to take into the battlefield.
4Asta
Asta, by all means, isn’t weak at all. Instead, she’s a well-established 4-star character inHonkai: Star Rail. One of Asta’s strong points is her amazing ability to break enemies’ Toughness through her Skill since it hits multiple times. So, if all Meteors hit one enemy, Asta would notably deal damage to their Toughness. Asta’s Skill doesn’t only benefit her hitting one enemy, it also rewards the team for hitting multiple enemies because Asta will grant her team ATK% for every new enemy her Skill hits. Furthermore, Asta is an excellent Fire buffer, especially because of her A4 Trace passive, where she buffs her team’s Fire damage by 18%.
But that’s not where Asta shines as aHarmony character inHonkai: Star Rail. Asta’s Ultimate massively increases the entire team’s SPD, which gives them a remarkable advantage over their enemies. Making the team faster is always beneficial since it will ensure they’ll always hit and apply their abilities first.

3Yukong
Yukong’s buff doesn’t work as the other units as it ends rather quickly. After casting her Skill, she gains two stacks of Roaring Bowstrings. While she has this stack, all allies' ATK will be increased, butone stack is lost each time an ally’s turn ends. For instance, if the turn sequence is Yukong - Welt - Luocha - Silver Wolf, the buff will disappearafter Luocha’s turn ends, so Silver Wolf will not benefit from it. This meansplayers should SPD tune their charactersif they wish for Yukong’s buff to be applied to the desired DPS. Fortunately, if an ally uses Ultimate, it doesn’t count as a turn, soto maximize Yukong’s buff, players can simply save their Ultimate until Yukong’s buff is active, then let it all loose on the enemies.
Yukong’s Ultimate alsoonly applies when Roaring Bowstring is active. So players will not get the Crit Rate and Crit DMG buff when Yukong doesn’t have a Roaring Bowstrings stack. This may complicate things as players need to pay attention to the availability of the stack, otherwise, the Ultimate will only deal damage, but no buff is applied. This complexity is what makes Yukong place third in this Harmony character ranking, despite her notable buffs.

2Tingyun
Tingyun links herself with a character through her Skill and increases their ATK with a certain amount that’s capped by her own total ATK. This linking (called Benediction) is crucial to her gameplay since most of her other buffs are connected to that link. The way Tingyun’s Benediction worksis by adding extra Lightning damage when Tingyun attacks or when the linked ally attack. Not only that, but each of E1, E2, and E4 of Tingyun’s Eidolons offers a mix of buffs to the ally linked with her Benediction effect.

Tingyun doesn’t only buff through her Benediction effect. Her Ultimate possesses two important utilities where Tingyun can buff a target’s damage for two turns while adding 50 Energy to their Ultimate.
1Bronya
Bronya is anincredible 5-star character inHonkai: Star Railbecause of the amount of utility she brings to her team comp. Bronya has one of the best kits in the game where she increases her team’s ATK% and Crit DMG through her Ultimate, complemented with her Skill that grants one unit an immediate turn while insanely increasing their damage. Not to mention, Bronya’s Skill also cleanses that ally from one debuff, so a crowd-controlled DPS can be buffed with no worries. If all the previous buffs aren’t enough, Bronya brings more to the table through her Traces where she increases the team’s DEF and DMG by 20% and 10%, respectively.
Other than Supporting her team, Bronya also buffs herself to perform better as a Harmonycharacter inHonkai: Star Rail. With her A2 Trace, Bronya adds 100% Crit Rate to her Basic ATK, which is perfect when building her fully on Crit DMG to maximize her Ultimate’s buff. Other than Crit Rate, Bronya’s Talent advances her turn forward after using Basic ATK; this perfectly complements her kit, allowing players to get her turn back faster so that Bronya can use her Skill and Ultimate where all her Supportive weight resides.

Honkai: Star Railis now available on Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation version is in development.
