According to the post, the video game was meant to be released in the first half of 2023, but the team has decided not to push through with it. Griffin reassures the fan base that development is still ongoing, likely to curb the community’s fears of the project suddenly being discontinued. According to Griffin, the title has “gotten quite big” and that the team is very excited about what is in store for players to discover when Silksong is finally released.

Unfortunately, no announcements have been made for a release date or evenlaunch period forHollow Knight: Silksong. Despite the lack of more concrete details, replies on Griffin’s Twitter post were mostly positive and encouraging. Many fans were more concerned about the quality of the game being produced and some even wished for the whole team to take care of themselves. Given how infamous the game development industry is with crunch times during production, the community seems to wish for the welfare of the team behindHollow Knight: Silksong.
