Summary
AGrand Theft Auto Onlineplayer has shared a weird moment they experienced in the game of their character getting mowed down by a car before they had even spawned in.GTA Onlinecertainly has its odd moments, many of which are created by fellow players, and this is no exception.
GTA Onlineis the online component ofGTA 5, and some questions about its future are currently in the air. WithGTA 6’s release window confirmed, fans are wondering what will happen to the current incarnation ofGTA Online. Although the game has problems with bugs and cheaters, many players love spending time inGTA Online, with some seeing moments like this one as funny and memorables scenes.

Player Agitated_Committee72 shared a brief recording of theirGTA Onlinecharacter respawning only to be mowed down by another player’s car. During the loading sequence, the camera pans down from the sky to the player’s new location before giving them control. In the overhead shots, one can see a car careening towards a parked vehicle, which just happens to be right in front of where the game chose for the player to spawn in. As the camera perspective shifts and Agitated_Committee72 is given control, their character goes flying and crashes back to the ground.
Fellow players expressed amusement at the sight, with some calling it the “true"GTA Onlineexperience. Being griefed by fellow players is to be expected in mostGTA Onlinelobbies, though it’s not clear if this particular player was attempting to grief Agitated_Committee72, or if it was pure coincidence that they rammed into a car in front of them.
Another player pointed out that from anyone else’s perspective, when a player spawns in, a few seconds pass after their avatars appear before they actually gain control of their character. So this moment didn’t involve aGTA Onlineexploit, but it’s nonetheless weird and funny to see.
Avoiding Griefing in GTA Online
In any game where PVP is constantly on, players are bound to be harassed by others at one point or another.GTA Onlineplayers can avoid them by playing in a private or invite-only lobby, limiting access to who can be in the world at the same time. Of course, as an online game, many players want to be in Los Santos at the same time as other gamers. Players can also try and useGTA Online’s passive mode, which can be helpful in avoiding the worst of griefing, but it’s not an absolute solution. Some level of danger is inevitable when joining a publicGTA Onlinelobby, but in this particular case, it’s more humorous than seriously harmful.
