It’s been nearly 10 years sinceGrand Theft Auto 5first launched, but it doesn’t really seem like fans are any closer to learning aboutGrand Theft Auto 6. As it stands, Rockstar Games is currently focused on portingGrand Theft Auto 5and itsGTA Onlinemultiplayer experience to next-generation consoles, with reports indicating that theGTA 6release dateis still likely years away.

With no freshGrand Theft Auto 6news in sight, fans have taken to entertaining to themselves by creating fanart. Reddit user zallow is one such fan, having created their own take on what theGrand Theft Auto 6box art might look like when it eventually releases on PlayStation 5. It could honestly be passed off as the real deal, with great attention to detail, including a helicopter in the upper left-hand corner of the box art like has been featured onGrand Theft Autobox art sinceGTA 3launched in 2001.

This fan-madeGrand Theft Auto 6box art uses a lot of purple and colors that seemingly reflect therumored Vice City setting. The art leans heavily into the Vice City setting rumors with its Roman numeral VI, showing palm trees and a beach that certainly wouldn’t look out of place in Miami-inspired setting.

For the uninitiated, rumors have persisted for years thatGrand Theft Auto 6will be returning to the Miami-inspired Vice City setting. This has been backed up by reputable leaker Tom Henderson, who has added on to theGrand Theft Auto 6rumor millwith tidbits of their own that could give fans an idea of what they may be able to expect from the game whenever Rockstar decides to announce it.

Henderson has hinted thatGrand Theft Auto 6will have two protagonists- one male, one female. Furthermore, he’s teased that the game will feature jetpacks, which were last prominently featured inGrand Theft Auto: San Andreason the PlayStation 2. Whether or not there’s any truth to these rumors remains to be seen, and unfortunately, fans will likely have to wait some time before they’ll get concrete answers.

As previously mentioned, Rockstar is busying working on theGrand Theft Auto 5next-gen port, and leakers have stressed that theGTA 6release date is still years away. With the game itself not launching for years, it wouldn’t make sense for Rockstar to announce it so far in advance, so fans shouldn’t hold their breath for any concreteGTA 6news updates anytime in the near future.
