Tom Henderson has made a name for himself as being a reliable leaker when it comes toBattlefieldandCall of Dutygames, but recently he leaked information on the upcomingGrand Theft Auto 6as well. According to Henderson,Grand Theft Auto 6will be set in Vice City, the release date won’t be until sometime in 2024 or 2025, and it will have an “evolving map.” While these kinds of claims should always be taken with a grain of salt, they have since been backed up by more legitimate sources.
Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier recently chimed in on the recentGrand Theft Auto 6leaks, backing up Tom Henderson’s claims aboutGrand Theft Auto 6’s release date. Schreier initially said that “everything” Henderson has said matches with what he’s heard about the game, but later clarified that he hasn’t seen everything the leaker has claimed. Schreier then specified that it’s true thatGrand Theft Auto 6is early in developmentand that it will have an “evolving/expanding” map.

And now VGC has backed up the claims aboutGrand Theft Auto 6as well, saying that its sources have confirmed the details aboutGrand Theft Auto 6being set in Vice Cityand having an evolving map. Considering this, this information may be one of the first legitimate leaks when it comes toGrand Theft Auto 6to date.
Since his initialGrand Theft Auto 6leaks, Henderson has done aGTA 6drawing that he has described as a “concept of a concept.” In this drawing, Henderson hints atGrand Theft Auto 6having a female protagonist, in addition to jetpacks. Jetpacks were available inGrand Theft Auto: San Andreasand teased inGrand Theft Auto 5, but were never added to the story mode. Henderson’s drawing also reiterates the leaks thatGrand Theft Auto 6will use Vice City for its setting.
As for when fans may find out Theft Auto 6in an official capacity, that remains to be seen. The latest leaks point toGrand Theft Auto 6’s release datebeing 2024 or 2025, meaning fans have a minimum of three years to wait before they’ll get the chance to play the game. It seems that the absolute best case scenario is getting aGrand Theft Auto 6reveal in 2024, soGTAfans will need to make due with thenext-gen versions ofGrand Theft Auto 5andGrand Theft Auto Onlinein the meantime. Both will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X beginning July 05, 2025.
