The Summer Game Fest has been full of major announcements for AAA and indie games, but one of the biggest surprises of the show came from an indie developer. Coffee Stain Publishing took the opportunity to unveil the newest game in theGoat Simulatorseries with a hilarious cinematic trailer capturing the mayhem of the series.Goat Simulator 3is confirmed to be in development and these goats have some new tricks up their sleeve.

TheGoat Simulator 3Summer Game Festcinematic announcement trailer started with an unsuspecting speed walker putting in their earbuds and smiling. As they exercised down the pier, a small army of actual goats appeared behind them, acting out an increasing amount of chaos. Goats headbutt unsuspecting pedestrians. Goats shoot rocket launchers. Goats use telepathy to increase the size of human heads to enormous proportions. Needless to say, these goats have an arsenal of fun new toys at hand.

Those unfamiliar with theGoat Simulatorexperience will be excited to hear that the game offers a sandbox experience for players to create endless mayhem. Mayhem is more fun with friends, soGoat Simulator 3will offer up tofour-player co-opboth locally and through online multiplayer. Also new in the sequel is an array of mini-games that goats can play together.

That’s not it fornew features inGoat Simulator 3, of course. Another component teased inGoat Simulator 3’s announcement screenshots is the ability to play as different animals. It may be sacrilege to stray from the holy goat protagonist, but developer Coffee Stain North is doing it anyway. Other playable animals include a chubby pig, a powerhouse rhinoceros, and a wobbly-necked giraffe, all with their tongues hanging out, naturally.

Before anyone goes crazy trying to figure out if they missed the release ofGoat Simulator 2, there’s no need to worry. In properGoat Simulatorfashion, the developers at Coffee Stain are pulling aNaked Gunand have skipped a number. It may solely be a joke or maybe a prototype ofGoat Simulator 2exists that Coffee Stain has shelved to never be seen by the public eye. Either way,Goat Simulator 3will be a direct follow-up to the originalGoat Simulator.

While a release date forGoat Simulator 3hasn’t been revealed yet,Coffee Stainis sure to be sharing more information in the months to come. Goats are just the beginning ofGoat Simulator 3.
