An officialGenshin Impactpost has revealed the complete of upcoming five-star Geo user Chiori. This character has been officially confirmed to arrive in the first part of Version 4.5, which should drop around March 13, depending on the region.
Chiori won’t be the only five-star character featured on the banner, asGenshin Impactrevealed that she will be joined by the famous Hydro Dragon Neuvillette. The second banner phase is reserved for the five-star Anemo user Kaedehara Kazuha and Itto, the troublesome leader of the Arataki Gang.
Genshin Impacthas officially revealed the kit details about the new five-star character Chiori. This character has already made multiple appearances in the official storyline, which confirmed that she is a Geo user and a famous fashion designer from Inazuma who currently resides in Fontaine. When it comes to her weapon type,Genshin Impact’s recent livestream eventhas confirmed that Chiori will be a sword user, which makes her the second character to have this weapon and element combination after Albedo. Her Normal and Charged Attacks are pretty straightforward for a sword user.
Chiori’s Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst Explained
Chiori’s Elemental Skill is named Fluttering Hasode, and using it makes her dash forward and deal AoE Geo damage. Chiori will spawn a doll named Tamoto beside her at the end of her dash. Holding this skill will enter Aiming Mode to adjust the direction of the dash. Tamoto will periodically attack nearby enemies, dealing Geo damage that scales with Chiori’s ATK and DEF stats. If any Geo Constructs are nearby while Tamoto is on the field, an additional doll will be summoned.
Her Elemental Burst, Hiyoku: Twin Blades, is fairly simple. It makesChiori deal AoE Geo damage around her model, which also scales with ATK and DEF. Her Passive Talent, Tailoring-Made, will make Chiori receive different buffs depending on the first action she takes after using her Elemental Skill. Tapping the skill will trigger an effect called Tapestry, while using the Normal Attack will activate a buff called Tailoring.
The Tapestry effect will make the player automatically switch to the next character in the party and apply the Seize the Moment buff, which will make Tamoto perform coordinated strikes whenever an active party member uses any type of regular attack. This means that players need to carefully adjust theirparty order inGenshin Impactwhen Chiori is on the team. This effect has an eight-second window and Tamoto can attack twice during its duration. The Tailoring effect will simply infuse Chiori’s attacks with Geo damage for five seconds.
