AGenshin Impactfan has created a chart that can help Travelers with farming ascension materials for their favorite characters. To build up a character, players often need to spend weeks gathering all the needed items, especially since the game runs on a Resin-based energy system which can limit the farming grind.

In order to fulfill their full potential,Genshin Impactplayers need to max out various aspects of a character’s build which include their level, talents, artifacts, and weapons. Most ascension materials are handed out by completing the specific types of domains which usually include multiple waves of enemies.

At the moment, there aremany types ofGenshin Impactdomainsthat can be found all over the world, including Challenge, Trounce, One-time, and Temporary Domains. The Challenge domains are probably the most visited instances in the game as they offer artifacts, talent, and weapon ascension materials as rewards. However, some of these materials are only unlocked on certain days of the week with Sunday being the only day when all of these materials become available. Reddit user Keeekx has created a very helpful infographic that can help players organize the way they will spend their Resin throughout the week.

The most recent Sumeru desert expansion inGenshin Impactversion 3.4has introduced a new area that added two new domains. Even though players expected a new place they can farm their artifacts, both of these domains actually play an important part in the current storyline. The new update has added a story quest for the new Dendro user Alhaitham who is part of the ongoing double banner alongside the Anemo user Xiao.

Players who want to farm talent books for Alhaitham need to beat the Steeple of Ignorance domain on Tuesdays, Fridays, or Sundays. Luckily, many players probably already had some Ingenuity books since they are also used by one of the previous units, the Dendro Archon Nahida who is one of themost popularGenshin Impactcharactersthat arrived back in update 3.1.

Alhaitham is not the only new character that arrived in this update as the banner also features the long-awaited four-star Dendro user Yaoyao. This polearm character requires the Diligence books to upgrade her talents which are also used by six other characters includingthe upcoming Pyro user Hu Tao. Developer HoYoverse has confirmed that Hu Tao will finally make a banner appearance in the second part of the current update.

Genshin Impactis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
