According to reports, Cognosphere, the publisher ofGenshin Impact, is finally going after the person behind the Ubatcha account. Cognosphere has filed a copyright infringement case against Ubatcha and the Discord server known as Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. Ubatcha operates from this server, and Cognosphere claims that the content posted in the WFP server violates its exclusive rights under copyright law related toGenshin Impact.

Cognosphere lawyers have asked the court to order Discord to reveal the identity of the person behind the Ubatcha account.Ubatcha has built up a large following on social media platforms by sharingGenshin Impactinformation and leaks, but it looks like his luck has finally run out.

Around two months ago,Genshin Impactwas dealt a serious blow when a major leakrevealed the game’s planned updates for the next 9 months. The leak was extensive and covered such a wide range of information that many well-known leakers, including Ubatcha, publicly denied any involvement. It appears that this legal action is meant to send a strong message to potential leakers that their actions will no longer be tolerated.

Content leakers typically get their information from people who work on the game, either directly or indirectly. The person behind the Ubatcha account may have access to internal documents, or he may know someone who does. If Ubatcha’s identity is revealed, one has to imagine that there could be legal repercussions. This would no doubt come as a huge shock to theGenshin Impactcommunity, as many players have come to rely on Ubatcha for leaked information and updates about the game.

Genshin Impactis available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5, and a Switch port is also in development.
