BioWareis a developer known for creating some truly memorable games and franchises. While not everything the studio makes falls into the category of being aMass EffectorDragon Agegame, many fans are primarily familiar with the titles coming out of those franchises. These RPG series are beloved by their fans for taking them on rich fantasy or sci-fi adventures. However, something that would prevent some fans from buying DLC for these games was the fact that they were only purchasable on PC by using BioWare Points.
While this did change recently with games likeMass Effect 3andDragon Age 2getting DLC bundles that could be bought with normal money, BioWare Points would plague a gamer’s wallet by forcing them to spend more than they needed, due to only being able to buy 800 points at a time and DLC often costing somewhere in the awkward region of 1400 or more. EA has recently revealed, though, that it is getting rid of BioWare Points, which means that some olderBioWaretitles will have DLC available to fans for free.
