Beloved childhood star Jodie Sweetin has an idea for yet another fabulousFull Housespin-off. The popular family sitcom that ran from 1987 to 1995 was revived back in 2016 whenNetflixdebuted its sequel,Fuller House.

Netflix’sFuller Houseran for five consecutive seasons before finally coming to a close in 2020. Although it’s only been barely 2 years sinceFuller Housewrapped, talks and rumors of anotherFull Houseoffshoot being in the works are starting to circulate. Sweetin has claimed that if the opportunity was presented for her to reprise her role as the famous Stephanie Tanner, she would jump at it in a heartbeat.Fuller Houseessentially adapts the same premise of the original series, except this time, eldest daughter DJ Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure) is now in a similar predicament that her father Danny (the late Bob Saget) found himself in. Widowed at a young age just like her Dad, DJ is left to raise three young kids all on her own, while simultaneously struggling to cope with the grief over losing her husband. In order to help DJ out, Stephanie and their quirky friend Kimmy (Andrea Barber), mirroringFull House’s Jesse (John Stamos) and Joey (Dave Coulier), move into the classic San Francisco home with her.

For nearly half a decade, the girls corralled amongst one another through good times and bad, uplifting and supporting one another through life’s turbulence. TheFuller Housefinale gave all three girls a happy ending, as they all went on to get married and start their own separate lives. However, although fans are very emotionally satisfied and fulfilled whenFuller Housecame to a close, they still want to see more of the Tanner clan. Sweetin recently spoke toE! News’Daily Pop, where she claimed that she is more than ready to reprise her role and reunite with old co-stars once more. Yet, Sweetin has some of her own visions for howthe family sitcomshould evolve for a potential spin-off series.

“Absolutely, I love working with them. It’s like, ‘do you want to go back and have fun and work with the people that you love, that you’ve known your whole life?’ Of course!" Sweetin said. “We always joke about ourGolden Girlssort of future show. The three of us, living somewhere in Miami.“Golden Girlsdebuted back in 1985 and chronicles the lives of four unmarried middle-aged women. TheBetty White showis known for its sexual candor and unabashed sense of sarcastic humor, which is quite polar opposite to the more traditional family vibes thatFull Houserepresents.

Nevertheless, Sweetin’s idea of putting the three main girls in a similar position as the main characters inGolden Girlsis a captivating one, especially if they find some way to squeeze in the Olsen Twins in order to revive the character of Michelle. Taking onGolden Girlsfor inspiration could lead to a possible tone shift for the rumoredFull Housespin-off, showcasing a more mature, raunchysense of adult humor, which would be quite refreshing to see from female characters who have been previously reserved from embracing that type of comedy.
