At this point, it seems clear thatFortnitewon’t stop with introducing crossover content. If anything, it’s only picking up steam, as the last month alone has seen new cosmetic items crossing over with the likes ofVenom,The Walking Dead, and most recently the newDunemovie. Now fans of more frightful fare can get their fix in time for Halloween, asFortnitehas introduced a slew of new character skins and items based on theResident Evilseries.

Much of the content added to the game in recent times has leaned into a somewhat scarier vibe befitting the season. In addition to the aforementioned crossover content and thereturn of the annual Fortnitemares event, Chapter 2 Season 8 of Epic Game’s popular battle royale has been giving players the chance to enter the monster-filled reality known as the Sideways. It’s a good time for fans of more lighthearted scares, and the newResident Evilcontent should help fans enjoy it in style.

Two of the most iconic characters from Capcom’s survival horror series, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, are now available in the item shop as of the new S.T.A.R.S. Team Set. The latest additions toFortnite’s Gaming Legends skins, both rock their original S.T.A.R.S. uniforms, but players also have the option to deck Chris out in his Hound Wolf Squad outfit fromResident Evil Villageand Jill in her outfit from theResident Evil 3remake.

While the new skins are probably what most fans will be interested in first and foremost, there’s plenty of otherResident Evil-themed items for players to customize their characters with. These include the Green Herb and Saving Keystrokes typewriter back bling, the Stun Rod and Hot Dogger pickaxes, and a new comic book-esque loading screen. Epic Games also showed off a new emote known as the Brolly Stroll in a brief video showing Chris walking down a hallway while holding a little umbrella modelled after the logo of the franchise’s villainous Umbrella Corporation.

Outside ofFortnite,Resident Evilfans have been treated to a few things lately. The perennial classicResident Evil 4got new life this week with therelease ofResident Evil 4 VR, and earlier this month the first trailers for the upcoming movieResident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon Citydropped, promising what looks to be a more faithful adaptation than past films. What’s more, it looks like Capcom may have a few moreResident Evilannouncements to make in time for Halloween, so there may be more for fans to enjoy soon beyond the newFortnitecontent.

Fortniteis available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
