A skilledFortniteplayer is showing off a video of an impressive game-winning kill using the new Shockwave Hammer weapon. The extremely popular battle royale title is near-constantly tweaking its item and weapons pool, with the occasionalnon-bullet weapon like the Ripsaw Launcherentering the mix from time to time. That time happens to be now, with the Shockwave Hammer making a literal impact in the game.

The impressiveFortnitematch-winning clip comes courtesy of u/K-boomX94, who posted the video to one of the majorFortnitesubreddits. In the short clip, the player can be seen towards the very end of a match, with a minuscule circle remaining. Built extremely high up, the player looks down to the ground, equips their Shockwave Hammer, and hops off their build, plummeting towards the surface. Timed perfectly, the player slams the hammer on the ground as they land, launching their opponent well out of the circle. The opponent dies in the storm, earning the hammer user a Victory Royale.
While the weapon is dynamic as well as powerful, players shouldbe careful when using the Shockwave Hammer, as another recentFortniteclip proves. The other clip in question has the player heavily utilizing the Shockwave Hammer’s other function, which is bouncing with it as a means of traversal. The clip shows the player bounding after a truck, eventually landing directly on the hood and smashing it until it explodes. While they get the elimination, the explosion launches the hammer wielder, killing them via fall damage.
