Final FantasyPixel Remasterincludes remasters of the first sixFinal Fantasygames that Square Enix plans to release individually in sequential order. The collection was just announced earlier this month, and fans have had a lot of questions about what exactly they can expect when the collection launches.
One of the biggest draws ofFinal Fantasy Pixel Remasteris that while it will touch up the visuals and sprites of the original game, it is staying more faithful than other remasters of the series' older titles. It will keep the games' 16-bit art style while improving the visuals of the games more than ever before all at once. Despite how little is still known about the games, this has led manyFinal Fantasyfans to think thatFinal Fantasy Pixel Remasterwill be the best way to experience these older titles.

Now, in a new 30-minute YouTube video, new screenshots of all six games in the remaster have been revealed. Unfortunately, the original video was deleted and is no longer available on YouTube, but Twitter user Wario64 was able to capture images of the screenshots. The game’s original reveal trailer did not show what the remastered versions of the games would look like, so the new screenshots are pretty exciting for fans waiting forFinal Fantasy Pixel Remaster. They may be especially welcome by fans who were hoping that the remasters would maintain the original look of the games, since more recent games likeStranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Originhave drastically changedthe games they were inspired by or are reimagining.
Unfortunately, the video does not reveal when fans should expect to get their hands onFinal Fantasy Pixel Remaster. The screenshots have also been met with some frustration by players who do not understand why the game is only being released on Steam and mobile platforms and not on the Switch or any PlayStation or Xbox. The remastered bundle seems like a great way for fans who want to revisit the series' past or try andreplay as manyFinal Fantasygames as possiblebeforeFinal Fantasy 16, so it is unfortunate that the remaster is not coming to more platforms for fans.
