Square Enix just wrapped up this year’s Digital Fan Festival forFinal Fantasy 14in which it revealed tons of new content coming to the popular MMORPG, including new areas.
Final Fantasy 14: Endwalkerwas revealed a few months ago, but Square Enix has officially revealed some interesting details about the upcoming expansion pack. Joining theEndwalkerexpansion are new areas to explore, a new central HUB city, two new classes, a new raid series, and a new tribe that consists of moon rabbits known as Loporrits.

During this year’s Digital Fan Festival, Square Enix revealed the upcomingFinal Fantasy 14melee DPS class known as the Reaper. The Reaper will fittingly use a two-handed scythe weapon to cut enemies down and they have a ghost avatar from the void to help them fight. Producer and Director ofFinal Fantasy 14Naoki Yoshida has been teasing the Reaper for several months, but during the Digital Fan Festival, gameplay for the new class was finally revealed. TheEndwalkerexpansion will be required to unlock the Reaper and the already teased Sage class.
Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker’s new city Thavanir’s Radz-at-Han has already been revealedduring the originalEndwalkertease, but the demo revealed during this year’s Digital Fan Festival showed the new city in greater detail. A beautiful underground dome that emulates Garlemald known as Labrynithos was also revealed with cheerful carnival music playing during the recent reveal.Final Fantasy 14players will also visit the moon whenEndwalkerreleases to discover a giant moon base known as Mare Lamentorum. These new areas will be joined by new quests and challenges to complete along the way, with new gear and a deep storyline rewarding players along the way.
Fans ofFinal Fantasy 14are already aware of female Viera, but after tons of demand, the development team behind the popular MMO has officiallyadded male Viera to theEndwalkerexpansion. Old Sharlayan will beEndwalker’s hub city in the same way that The Crystarium was for Shadowbringers and Kugane was for Stormblood and it will be the new city where all of the races and classes acrossFinal Fantasy 14come together to socialize, trade, group up, and more.
TheFinal Fantasy 14community in the Oceania region will be pleased to know that a new data centre has been added to the region in order to satiate the demand for servers. Square Enix has officially revealed therelease date forFinal Fantasy 14: Endwalkerduring the Digital Fan Festival, confirming it will launch on November 23.
