InFinal Fantasy 14, mounts are more than a faster way for players to get around. They are a status symbol and they have tons of personality in their designs and movements. They range from animals to machines to even combinations of the two.
Mounts are unlocked once a player completes thelevel 20 main story quest, “A Hero in the Making,“andjoins a Grand Company. Thencomplete the quest “My Little Chocobo"which is given by an NPC near the chosen Grand Company Building.

Single-seater mounts like the Grand Company Chocobo and Fatter Cat are good but two-seater mounts are always highly desired by players.Final Fantasy 14is an MMO, meaning that a lot of people play with their friends. With a two-seater mount, traveling with friends is easy. But how does one get a two-seater mount? There are 13 two-seater mounts so far in the game. Every single one has a different method of obtaining.
Amber Draught Chocobo
The most common two-seater mounts are in chocobo form. This particular one was introduced in patch 3.0. It is obtainable only through theRecruit a Friend Campaign.This means going to the Mogstation website and filling out a Recruit a Friend form. The recruited friend will also need to follow the steps, entering a recruitment code in their Mogstation account.

To get the Amber Draught Chocobo, players need torecruit two friends. Each time a friend is recruited, the recruiter is awarded fiveGold Chocobo Feathers. The Amber Draught Chocobo costs eight of those and can be purchased from aCalamity Salvager.
Indigo Whale
The Indigo Whale is one of several two-seater mounts that arepurchasable on the Mogstationwebsite. It was introduced in patch 4.4 and costs around 30 dollars. The mount is enormous and has two players sit with an entire picnic table set up on the whale’s back. This is actually one of two whale-mountsFinal Fantasy 14has to offer. The other is the Lunar Whale.
Landerwaffe
Introduced in patch 5.5, the Landerwaffe is a major status symbolofShadowbringers. It is only obtainableby collecting all seven Gwiber mounts, the seven being Diamond, Fae, Emerald, Light, Ruby, Innocent, and Shadow. Getting those Gwibers is no easy task, as it takes grinding ExtremeShadowbringerboss dungeons. Once all the Gwibers are collected, the Landerwaffe is obtained via the unlocked quest"The Dragon Made.”
Astrope
This gorgeous pegasus mount is rarely seen due to how difficult it is for players to obtain. First of all, they have to be aMentorthat has access to theDuty Roulette: Mentor.Being a mentor in itself can be a challenge, requiring up to one thousand five hundred player commendations. However, it takes more than that for this mount. The mentor will have to completetwo thousand Mentor Roulette dutiesfor the Astrope. One will know they have done two thousand if they havethe achievement, “I Hope Mentor Will Notice Me VI.”
Fat Moogle
Moogles are usually pretty small, but this one is big enough to strap a swing to and ride! It was introduced as aMogstation purchasein patch 3.35. Like the Indigo Whale, it costs about 30 dollars. Players get to sit next to each other on a swing with two little moogles flying at their side and one massive one floating above.
Cruise Chaser
Recently released in patch 5.5, the Cruise Chaser is mount that transforms between aircraft and humanoid mech. It is humanoid on land and becomes an aircraft in flight. It is only obtained through apurchase at the Mogstation.
Regalia Type-G
This mount is more than a two-seater. It can seat four players! It may look familiar, as it was part of a crossover event betweenFinal Fantasy 14andFinal Fantasy 15. That’s right, it’s actually the same car Noctis travels in. Thecollaboration eventwas called"A Nocturne for Heroes"and made themount purchasable for two hundred thousand MGPfrom an Ironworks Vendor at the Gold Saucer.
Unfortunately, this mount is only available during the event. It has happened twice in the past and may so again in the future. Currently, though, the Regalia is unobtainable.

Skyslipper
This four-seater mount is dropped upon completion ofEden’s Gate: Sepulture (Savage). It was introduced in patch 5.05. This mount is not often seen, as Eden’s Gate: Sepulture (Savage) is one of the most difficult Savage raids ofShadowbringers.
Draught Chocobo
Cerberus
This mount is actually a four-seater, but it is a difficult one to get. It is an award for the achievement “Savage Queen of Swords I.” The achievement is given to players that complete the level 80 duty,Delubrum Reginae (Savage).The regular-duty is hard, but the Savage version is merciless with a lot of resurrection restrictions.
Ceremony Chocobo
Yet another two-seater chocobo is the Ceremony Chocobo that is part of theEternal Bond package sold at the Mogstation. The Eternal Bond package is how to players can get married in-game. There is a wedding, a quest, teleportation rings, wedding clothes, and the white two-seater chocobo.
There are a couple versions of the package, and the Ceremony Chocobo is included in theGoldandPlatinumplans.

Lunar Whale
This mount is not a two-seater or even four-seater. It can actuallyseat eight players! It is one of the more expensive mountspurchasable on the Mogstationfor about 42 dollars. However, that is a price some are willing to pay to be able to keep a full party together in one single mount.
Chocobo Carriage
A chocobo mount with a little something extra, an entire carriage! This mount was teleased in during patch 5.3 and is anotherMogstation-exclusive itemthat costs about 35 dollars.
