Summary
AFallout 4player has highlighted the bizarre detail that Molerats have two sets of teeth. There are many horrifying details inFallout 4, but this Molerat one may be among the most bizarre involving a common hostile mob.
TheFalloutbestiary has been extensive since the first titles were released, and that remains the case withFallout 4. Some enemies have been featured in the series from the beginning and continue to be represented, like Radscorpions, Super Mutants, and Ghouls. Among these are the Molerat which is typically among the firstFallout 4enemiesthat players will encounter. Standard Molerats pose a minimal threat to players, and they often serve as target practice for gamers familiarizing themselves with the shooting controls. One player has showcased a bizarre discovery regarding Molerats when they’re attacking.

Reddit user MysteriousPudding175 recently shared an image focusing on a Molerat from theirFallout 4adventure. The screenshot showcases a Molerat that’s ready to lunge at the player, dealing minimal damage with a bite. Because it’s preparing to attack, the Molerat has a wide open mouth which highlights a bizarre design detail. Not only does the Molerat have one prominent set of teeth, but a second pair can be seen inside its mouth. As many real-world creatures have been altered by the nuclear radiation ofFallout 4’s post-apocalyptic setting, this secondary set of teeth may help Molerats in the radioactive landscape. This second set of teeth may help it deal damage to threats like other mobs or the Sole Survivor, but it could also give them access to more food sources.
Fallout 4 Molerats Have Two Sets of Teeth
Beyond this strange detail, the Molerat also has two landmines on it which could potentially be deadly if it lunged at the player at the right time. Similar to Super Mutant Suiciders who hold powerful explosives in pursuit of the player, this seems to be a Molerat Suicider. While most players will encounter Super Mutant Suiciders as they exploreFallout 4’s Boston Commonwealth, the Molerat equivalent is rarer. They can be commonly found in the Kendall Parking Garage where an NPC straps the landmines to the Molerats. According to MysteriousPudding175, this specific Molerat was found at the USAF Olivia station near Sanctuary.
Despite Molerats being a staple oftheFalloutgames, it’s unclear how many players have discovered their second set of teeth. Given how many enemies are nightmare fuel, this detail showcases a scary aspect of the otherwise unsuspecting creature.
