Highlighting all the games covered during PlayStation’s August 2020 State of Play, these new titles and updates are sure to keep gamers entertained for months to come.
PlayStation’s State of Playis Sony’s way of advertising its new content to its player base in a fun and interactive way. This stream featured info on new PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR titles, as well as updates on PlayStation 5 titles currently in production.

1.Godfall
Godfallis one of the newly announced PlayStation 5 titles coming to the system from Gearbox Publishing in late 2020. During the stream, the development team announced how it wouldincorporate DualSense controller intoGodfall’s gameplayfunctions to bring a more interactive gameplay experience.
2.TemTem
TemTemis a game that combinesPokemonwith the Massive Multiplayer Online game genre. Initially, it was only released for Microsoft Windows, but now it will be coming to the PS5 in 2021.
3.Hood: Outlaws & Legends
The gameHood: Outlaws and Legendswas announced during the stream and is bringing the classic Robin Hood legend and reimagining it for the PS5. The game is a 4v4 multiplayer experience that pits teams together to steal treasure from AI-controlled hostile government figures.
4.The Pedestrian
This game incorporates a different approach to the puzzle-platformer genre.The Pedestrianplayers control a 2D character moving around in a 3D world by manipulating public signs to progress through the game.
5.Auto Chess
Originally released as a mobile game,Auto Chesswill now be coming to the PS5 on October 24. The goal of the game is to create an army to defeat the other seven player’s pieces by pulling characters from a shared pool.
6.Control
Controlis an action-adventure game published by 505 games that came out for the PS4 in August of last year. During the stream, the development team announced its second and final expansion update called AWE. AWE is short for “Altered World Event” and will expand on the story while also giving the players a new service weapon to use.
7.Vader Immortal
The three-part VR seriesVader Immortalwill be coming to PlayStation 4 on July 16, 2025. Players will explore the world of Mustafar, home to Darth Vader’s fortress, and learn to master the force.
8.Bugsnax
Bugsnaxis a first-person adventure game developed by Young Horse studio for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Players will traverse the island of Snaktooth and capture a wide array of half-bug half-snack creatures.
9.Anno: Mutationem
Developed by the company Thinking Stars,Anno: Mutationemis a game that combines 2D and 3D models and places them in an immersive cyberpunk-esque world.
10.Aeon Must Die
Aeon Must Dieis a different approach to the Beat ‘Em Up genre that mixes sci-fi elements into the style. Players take control of the overthrown emperor of the universe, Aeon, and fight to both save the last of their species and seek revenge.
11.Genshin Impact
A new free to play open-world game,Genshin Impactis developed by miHoYo and will have its worldwide launch on PS4 this fall. Players will have the ability to control over seven different elements to explore the world of Teyvat.
12.Braid
Celebrating the game’s anniversary,Braidwill release a new edition for the game for early 2021 for PS4 and PS5. The game will be bringing updated visuals and sound development from its original 2008 launch.
13.Hitman 3
As an added bonus to the game,Hitman 3will include PS VRsupport during its launch in 2021. This game will include every location from the series’ trilogy and players will now be able to experience them from a first-person point of view.
14.Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time
The game was originally announced to come out in the fall for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro. During the stream, Activision announced a couple of updates for the game, such as a new “N. Verted Mode” as well as a new playable character, Dingodile.
