A frustratingElden Ringbug allows for Malenia, Blade of Miquella to get revenge on the player that killed her.Elden Ringcan be an infuriating game with its many surprises and bosses that can take the player down in only a few swipes. What can be even more frustrating is having to deal with bugs, especially after dealing with one of the many difficult challenges the game has to throw at the player. This is what happened to one player just as they defeated the hardest boss inElden Ring.
Malenia’s first phase, Blade of Miquella, can be a tough fight to deal with on its own, and while many players like to flex their skills by killing her in the most unfortunate of circumstances, some players find it difficult to evenget past Malenia’s notorious Waterfowl Dance attack. It only becomes worse in her second phase, Goddess of Rot, where she can inflict the player with Scarlet Rot among her other attacks. However, once she dies, she leaves a gigantic blooming flower that is a part of Millicent’s quest line, using the Unalloyed Gold Needle on it to receive Miquella’s Needle and a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.

It was this large blooming flower that one player encountered an issue. Posting to r/Eldenring, user SaxonSabre uploaded a picture of them sitting in the flower that Malenia leaves, saying that they somehow managed to clip into it and cannot seem to get out. No matter what they’ve tried to do, whether it’s warping or quitting and reloading back into the game, their character still seems to be stuck in the flower. This isn’t an isolated incident, as many times have players or enemies such asCaelid’s Giant Dog found themselves clipped into placesthey shouldn’t be.
Many in the comments showed support, trying to find ways to help the player get out of their predicament. Some recommended using a Sacred Twig, while others said to equip a Hunter’s Ring so that the player gets pulled into another world. While they appreciated the support, nothing at this moment seems to be working. This isn’t the only frustrating bug with Malenia, as she’s had bizarre bugs likekillingElden Ringplayers once they enter her arena instantly, which make the hardest boss in the game an even more infuriating experience for some.
Elden Ringcan be one of the worst games to get bugs in, as its many challenges are already tough enough, ensuring that problems out of the player’s control can be extra disheartening. While some of these bugs can be beneficial for the player, likeMohg dying after being stuck in a wall, they aren’t all going to be helpful. Hopefully, the player can find a way out of the flower, but with the unruly nature of bugs, there’s no saying if or when that will happen.
Elden Ringis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
