How to use the Character Creation Tool in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Near the end of Capcom’s highlights live stream Day 1, the team behindDragon’s Dogma 2announced the release of a Character Creator and Storage Tool for free.Players can visitthe game’s official websiteto download the Character Creation tool on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S for no charge. Once the characters and pawns are created, players can store them inside the tool until the release date.
When players start with the full release ofDragon’s Dogma 2,they will be greeted withthe option to use existing data. This will allow players to access and import the appearance of their characters from the Character Creator and Storage Tool. However, to import characters, one should have the same account and platform for the tool and the full release.
Upon opening the tool, players will be greeted with display and brightness options. Then, they will see a title page featuring the tool and game options. Players get the choice to start creating theirArisen(Main Character), orMain Pawn(primary party member).
The game providesfive slots for saving the characters. The storage tool capacity is more than enough for any aspiring Arisen. However, if you are unsatisfied with any of the characters you have saved in the existing five slots, you can delete a character from the slot and create a new one for it.

TheDragon’s Dogmaseries Director, Hideaki Itsuno, has also elaborated on how the game’s Character Creation system will be enjoyable for every type of player. For those who are not interested in building an entire character from the ground up, there are options to select two sets of base body types for each race, and another nine body templates per body type.
Players can create a unique character by making three decisions when all of these customizable options are combined with the innumerable choices for head variations. Once they choose a head variation, another window opens up with possible hairstyle choices. Upon selecting the hairstyle, players are redirected to another page which provides more options when it comes to the face shapes.
The developers also added enhanced character body customization tools, which experienced players can use to mold their characters as if they were clay. This makes sure that players with varying experience levels can comfortablycreate their Arisen and Pawns, refining all the details until they look just how the player imagined them.
If customizing the entire possible appearance of a character is not enough, players can also alter their character’s movement style to a level of detail that is rarely seen in Action RPG character creator tools. Quick and intuitive ways of altering small details, like sliders, make it easier for everyone to portray their artistic talents when it comes to character creation. Moreover, hovering over particular customization sliders or drop-down menus highlights the affected parts of the character model, making it easier to notice subtle changes.
Upon finishing a character and saving it, players can also go back to the tool to make edits. Sometimes, though, it is possible to ruin a character by unknowingly messing with particular settings. This situation can be avoided by customizing the characters and pawns again from a blank slate.
