Summary
Dragon’s Dogma 2by Capcom has a flexible class system, allowing players to swap classes to really make the most of its varied combat. Thanks to a varied set of weapons and weapon skills, each Vocation plays differently, granting unique strengths to any party.
One of the four basic Vocations inDragon’s Dogma 2, the Archer, is a ranged Vocation favoring bow attacks and a variety of unique arrow types to deal different effects on enemies. Archers get to use a variety of different bows throughout the game, and here are some of the best bows available. Of course, these aren’t to be confused with theMagick Archer’s magickal bows.

Updated on June 09, 2025, by Mehrdad Khayyat:Bows are considered one of the best weapon types for the Archer vocation as they come with great damage rates at far ranges, allowing the player to get rid of the enemies without even putting themselves in danger or getting up close to giant enemies.
There are a wide variety of bows in Dragon’s Dogma 2 to pick from, some of which drop from enemies, while some others should be obtained through certain questlines. There are also a number of bows that can be purchased from merchants.

To be fair, Bespoke Bow doesn’t pack a strong punch, but it is a good bow to begin with, especially if players just want to test the waters with the bow gameplay without a heavy grind for a high-value bow or without spending a large amount of coins.

That being said, Bespoke Bow is still much more powerful than the weakest bow inDragon’s Dogma 2. The real problem is that it’s a little bit too heavy for what it does. This bow cannot be obtained through quests or killing enemies. The only way for the players to lay their hands on it is to purchase the Bespoke Bow from Roderick’s in Vernworth, Celeste’s in Respoint Chech Town, or Nameless Apothecary in Nameless Village.

Myfyr’s strength might not be anything noteworthy, knowing how many stronger bows are available in the game, but the knockdown power is indeed phenomenal for a bow of this level, which is the reason why Myfyr is considered a pretty capable bow to purchase. The knockdown power is almost equal to that of high-tier bows like Dinistrydd and Dragon’s Blink.
Players can acquire this lightweight weapon by looting a chest in the Forgotten Tunnel, located at a dead-end on the left side of the entrance. Grisha’s Armory also has this bow on sale for 13,500 coins.

Savage Fang is a great early game bow for an Arisen who has a little bit of gold to spend. Considering how early it’s available, it is quite expensive, but not nearly as much as more powerful bows. And since it’s easy to purchase, it isn’t difficult to acquire at all. Players don’t need to search out-of-the-way caves and locations for hidden treasure chests to find this weapon.

Savage Fang has a great Strength stat and wonderful Knockdown Power, making it an easy choice for the earlier parts of the game.

The Veteran’s Arc is a great early game bow with a good Strength stat of 163. It’s available as soon as the player character gets to Vernworth, since the Checkpoint Rest Town is only an oxcart ride away from Vernworth. It’s a little expensive, but the stat upgrade can be worth it.
However, the Veteran’s Arc is a very heavy weapon compared with some other bows, weighing in at a whopping 3.65KG. Because of this, a weight-conscious Arisen might prefer traveling with a different bow.

The Repeller Bow is a great bow with a fantastic Strength stat of 170. It offers Knockdown Power too, at 190, and is completely free thanks to being a quest reward.
It is, however, gated behind a decently long quest requiring traversal between two relatively distant parts of the map, as well as a bunch of fighting. This journey starts with theGift of the Bow quest. Still, as the quest A Trial of Archery leads to the Elvish town of Sacred Arbor, players usually want to get it done early anyway.

Darkening Storm is arguably the best truly early-game bow. It has a great Strength stat at 198, and its Knockdown Power is 210. It’s available as soon as the player can get to Checkpoint Rest Town, but does require a bit of searching.
Said searching can be difficult at a low level thanks to rampaging hordes of enemies, but it is possible, and Darkening Storm is worth it.

The Predator is a good choice of bow for the mid-game. Available once the player gets to Bakbattahl, the Predator is a reasonably priced bow well-suited for when it becomes available in game.
The Predator is much lighter than some of the bows available earlier than it. It can be worth shelling out the gold for some extra space in the Arisen’s (or their Pawn’s) pack.

Dinistrydd is a powerful bow of Elven make, available from Grisha’s Armory in Sacred Arbor. It has a great Strength stat at 233, although its Knockdown Power isn’t quite as good as other options.
Dinistrydd is reasonably expensive, but still falls far short of the most expensive or hard-to-find options. It makes a good choice of bow for the Archer on a budget.

The Dragon’s Blink is a great choice of bow for the mid-game. Easily purchased from Awaran’s Arms in Bakbattahl, the only real reason not to use this bow is if the player has run out of money. Which, to be fair, is easy to do.
But although there are better bows available in the game, none of them are available until much later on, and even then they cost more money. So Dragon’s Blink is likely to be an Archer Arisen’s best friend at the point which it becomes available.

The Revenant Wail is a great bow offering a massive upgrade to bows available much earlier. This is balanced out by being very hard to obtain. Prior to the true endgame, Revenant Wail is only available in locations accessed during the end of the main story, long after reaching Bakbattahl.
But the Revenant Wail doesn’t drop off until the true endgame. Considering how good it is, it’s a bow well worth seeking out and purchasing as soon as it’s available.
