During the first few parts ofDigimon Survive, players are fairly limited when it comes to the Digimon that they can befriend. That all changes around the game’s halfway point though, with scores of befriendable Digimon suddenly showing up in Parts 6 and 7. Monzaemon is one such creature, with the big yellow Puppet Digimon showing up shortly after players leavethe underground waterway.

Not only is Monzaemon one of the cutest Digimon inDigimon Survive, but he’s also one of the earliest farmable sources of Perfect Enlightenment Slabs. For this reason alone, a lot of players choose to seek him out as soon as possible, though anyone hoping to do so is going to need to learn the best responses to Monzaemon’s questions and statements.
How to Befriend Monzaemon in Digimon Survive
Befriending Monzaemon is the same asbefriending any other Free Digimon inDigimon Survive. First, players will need to start a conversation with it by selecting the Talk option from the battle menu. Next, they’ll be faced with three questions or statements and provided with four possible responses for each one. Choosing the best response will fill two segments of the bar above the Digimon’s head, with players needing to fill three or more by the end of the conversation to get a chance to befriend Monzaemon or ask it for an item.
Monzaemon isone of the more unusual Digimon inDigimon Survive, as, rather than speaking in full sentences like most other Digimon, Monzaemon speaks only in broken sentence fragments. He also comes across as being incredibly naive and will respond surprisingly well to those who treat him as such. Using this information and the responses given in the table below, players should have no trouble befriending Monzaemon or getting their hands on the Perfect Enlightenment Slabs that it holds.

Do you…treasure…your comrades…?
Do you…wanna…fight…?

Would you…use violence…to protect others…?
That’s a tough sell.
Where to Find Monzaemon in Digimon Survive
Much like Etemon, Monzaemon can first be encountered at the “Free Bat.” zone in the Second Island Area, though only during the Free Action section at the beginning of Part 6. For whatever reason, Monzaemon doesn’t seem to like showing up during evening hours, meaning that players will need to wait until Part 7 or later if they miss out on befriending Monzaemon before Falcomon and Minoru’s falling out.
Digimon Surviveis available on PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
