Blizzard has announced a third beta weekend planned forDiablo 4that will stress test the ARPG’s servers ahead of its early June launch. Two betas have already been held forDiablo 4up to this point, but players are hungry for more. Blizzard has decided that the excitement for moreDiablo 4aligns with the development team’s need for more data. It’s even confirmed some special loot forDiablo 4players willing to test the game one more time before launch. The two beta tests forDiablo 4are now well past. The first beta test was hosted between March 17 and 19 and offered early access to theDiablo 4beta for those who had pre-purchased the game or acquired a key through a promotion. The early access beta had just three of five classes available, with the final twounlocking forDiablo 4’s open beta. The open beta ran from March 24 through 26 and was available for anyone interested in playing across all supported platforms.RELATED:New Diablo 4 Merch Hints at Unexpected Sixth ClassDiablo 4’s third beta test will carry on from where the open beta left off. It’s going to feature all the content featured in the open beta, including the full Fractured Peaks zone, Act 1 ofDiablo 4’s story, and progression from levels 1 through 20. All five classes will be available, includingNecromancer and Druid, and the World Boss Ashava can be battled every three hours. The MayDiablo 4beta will officially run from May 12 at 9:00 AM PDT through May 14 at 9:00 AM PDT for 48 hours of action.

To make beta participation that much more attractive, Blizzard is bringing back some rewards and adding a new one. By reaching level 20, players will earn two titles and an exclusive Beta Wolf Pack cosmetic. The new cosmetic added for the May beta is a trophy that can be attached to a mount. The Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy is earned by reaching level 20 anddefeating the Ashava World Boss.

Like with prior betas, the MayDiablo 4beta has a focus for Blizzard. This is an official server stress test, meaning Blizzard wants as many players online at one time as possible. That could mean servers will crash, queues could be long, and the gameplay experience could be worse in general. In prior betas, Blizzard was quick to make improvements following any issue. That will hopefully remain true for the May beta.

Blizzard has also confirmed that the May beta will be based on the launch version ofDiablo 4. It will feature all of the changes made based on feedback from the prior two betas. It also means no significant changes will be made between the May beta andDiablo 4’s launch.Diablo 4has already gone gold, after all. Any further necessary changes will have to be made post-launch. This is likely the last opportunityDiablo 4players have to try the game before launch. Hopefully, fans are able to make the most of it.

Diablo 4releases June 6 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
