Summary
Xur has returned again toDestiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. In the meantime, the Festival of the Lost has arisen once more for the next few weeks complete with new rewards to earn. AsDestiny 2’s Halloween inspired event, players will be taking on Haunted Sectors once more, though for this year’s version, players can earn special Eerie Engrams which can be focused into some unique and exotic rewards at Eva Levante.
In addition, the recent midseason update accidentally updated the descriptions of a few exotic items earlier than expected.Bungie clarified these exotic changes, admitting that while the descriptions were accidentally updated with enhanced functionality, the exotics themselves still behave the same way. Not only that, these are only some of the changes Bungie has planned and players should stay tuned for the complete list of exotic updates in Season 23.

Alongside the spooky season, the exotic merchant Xur is making his usual weekend appearance insideDestiny 2over the next few days. Follow this guide for his most current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he’s brought for the weekend of Jun 23, 2025.
Where is Xur?
This weekend, players can head to the EDZ to find the merchant on the cliff overlooking the Winding Cove.
Fast travel to the Winding Cove zone and immediately head towards the back where the Fallen typically patrol. Climb the cliffs back here to find Xur standing on a ledge not too far from a crashed ship.

Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur’s role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they’re necessary toacquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.
Xur continues to sell even more gear outside his usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur now has Legendary Weapons and Armor for sale in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer.

Eye of Another World - Warlock helmet
Exotic Perk:
Cerebral Uplink - Highlights priority targets and improves the regeneration speed of the player’s grenade, melee, and Rift abilities. Provides a small benefit to the airborne effectiveness stat of all weapons.
An extremely high roll for this exotic coming in at a 69 overall, which makes it a solid pickup if nothing more than to replace an existing roll. As for the item itself, this exotic can certainly help players get their abilities much faster than normal though that doesn’t make it a must-have item, but it can be a decent choice.

The Bombardiers - Hunter leg armor
Parting Gift - Dodging leaves behind an explosive that detonates after a short delay, damaging targets around it and creating a secondary effect based on the player’s subclass energy type.

Certainly not an exotic on the top of most exotic tier lists, Bombardiers can be fun to mess around with even if it is situational at best. Either way, this is one item that can be safely passed on this week.
Helm of Saint-14 - Titan helmet

Starless Night - Targets that enter Ward of Dawn are blinded, while allies that pass through gain a Void overshield. Guarding with Sentinel Shield blinds nearby targets.
Always a solid choice and commonly seen in PvP modes that require capturing and holding specific control points. The roll is alright this week with a solid roll across most stats.

Stat Values (64 total):
Exotic Weapon
A kinetic linear fusion rifle that was introducedduring the Revelry eventin 2019, Arbalest called Compounding Force that makes the weapon fire slugs that cause massive damage to enemies that are protected by an elemental shield. Paired with that is the Legendary trait Disruption Break which temporarily makes enemies more vulnerable to kinetic damage when an elemental shield is broken.
It’s also automatically a great choice to pierce Barrier champions without relying on the seasonal artifact.
Weapon perks:
Hawkmoon Rolls
At this point,Xur is only selling Hawkmoon with randomized rolls, but its time is limited once Harbinger is ultimately added to the Exotic Mission Rotator and makes the hand cannon craftable. Either way, here is the roll Xur has this weekend:
