ADestiny 2player shares an idea regarding the Amped Up perk that could improve Arc subclasses and builds after Season of the Deep ends in August.Destiny 2offers several artifact perks that greatly improve subclass abilities and stats during each season, but many of the community’s most treasured perks are typically replaced once a new artifact is introduced.

Destiny 2’sLight subclasses received substantial reworks during Year 5, and 2023’s Lightfall expansion finally introduced the game’s second Darkness subclass in Year 6. AlthoughStrand is a highlight of Lightfall, manyDestiny 2players still prefer to use their Light subclasses. Additionally, Vanguard activities often prioritize some subclasses over others due to the active surge and threat modifiers in a given week. For example, an Arc surge would increase all damage from Arc abilities and elemental weapons during a Vanguard activity.

Destiny 2player OneBadTomatoYT believes Season of the Deep’s Amped Up perk may be beneficial toward improving Arc subclasses and builds onceSeason of the Deepis over. OneBadTomatoYT wants the Amped Up perk to become a permanent trait for the Amplified state in order to improve survivability of Arc Guardians in end-game content. InDestiny 2, the Amped Up perk grants increased damage resilience while using an Arc subclass and being in the Amplified state. The user believes this change would greatly helpDestiny 2players who prefer to use Arc-based builds and an assortment of unique Arc abilities.

Arc subclasses generally prioritize speed and offense, but several players in the community believe that a subtle increase in resilience may be helpful in promoting Arc’s use in future content. However, someDestiny 2players believe Amped Up might be nerfed if Bungie were to convert the perk into an additional effect that activates while Amplified. Currently, Amped Up offers a 20% damage reduction while active, and OneBadTomatoYT thinks Bungie may reduce it to 15% for the sake of game balancing.

Amped Up is one ofSeason of the Deep’s best artifact perks, and the damage reduction effect may be key toward increasing the Arc subclass’s overall usage when compared to Void and Solar. Arc’s survivability appears to be a point of contention in the community, so implementing the Amplified damage reduction effect may encourage other players to try out the subclass in futureDestiny 2seasons.

Destiny 2Season 22is expected to begin on August 22, so players have roughly seven weeks to enjoy the Amped Up perk before its removal. Although perks from a prior season may return with a new artifact, Bungie tends to implement new perks in order to promote usage of underutilized subclasses and promote synergy with existing abilities.

Destiny 2is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
