2020’s Moments of Triumph lifts the weekly lockout from five of the game’s raids: Leviathan, Eater of Worlds, Spire of Stars, Scourge of the Past, andCrown of Sorrow. This is terrific news for dedicated players as they will be able to go for the pieces of loot they want as long as they wish within a week. Secret chests are unaffected by this update.

Last Wish andGarden of SalvationRaids remain untouched as they will still be relevant in the following year. However, they, alongside the five featured Raids, will have their loot updated toSeason of Arrivalsstandards by increasing their infusion cap, making them viable for a full year more.

The event is free for all players to engage in, but, some triumphs may require the purchase of additional content. For instance, owningForsakenis required to access the Scourge of the Past and Crown of Sorrow Raids.

Bungie also released a short but sweet trailer to showcase the featured Raids. The clips have Guardians holding the exotic weapons Anarchy, Legend of Acrius and Sleeper Simulant. This is most likely a nod to the fact that players can farm Legend of Acrius and Sleeper Simulant catalysts to their hearts' content as well as going for Anarchy in Scourge of the Past.

The event has themed exclusive rewards for those who complete a certain number of triumphs, however, two of the triumphs listed in the new Seal also state that they will award the Contender’s Shell Ghost and Luxurious Toast exotic emote. These were rare Raid drops previously, but, they now only require the completion of their respective Raids it seems.

All in all, this is a great treat for the hardcore fanbase as they can make sure to complete their collections beforeBeyond Lighthits. One last thing to mention is that the preview image says “Raid cosmetic rewards” with a picture of numerous raid armor in the background. This could be a reference to the upcoming transmogrification feature which will allow players to turn any armor piece into an ornament.

Destiny 2is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
