The Title SMG was a hyped-up weapon back inDestiny 2’sSeason of the Risen, but it failed to make a meaningful splash in any of the game’s activities. In 2023, however, this weapon is set to become a valuable piece of kit for any Guardian thanks to its refreshed perk pool that has a little something to offer for everyone.

Players can only get The Title wheneverthe Guardian Games are in full swing. Luckily, this specific event caters to both PvE and PvP crowds, which should make it more appealing to a broader audience. Here’s how to farm this event and a few tips on how to find the perfect roll for The Title inDestiny 2Season of Defiance.
How to Get The Title SMG in Destiny 2
As mentioned, this weapon only drops during the Guardian Games event. To get this gun, players need to actively participate in the event bydepositing Medallions on the podium at the Tower. The SMG may also randomly drop in any of the playlists, though this is an unreliable way to farm for the weapon since it’s going to compete with other world and playlist drops.
Players can earn medals simply by playing the game, although they must have a Guardian Games class item equipped as well. The type of activity players participate in will dictate the type of medal they earn:

Contender Cardsalso reward medals upon completion. It’s best to take these while playing through the usual activities to maximize progress. Players can carry up to two cards at a time—one for Strikes and Gambit, and another for the Crucible. Harder activities give higher-tier medals, which translate to more loot rewards when players dunk them onto the podium.
The Title SMG God Rolls
There are a number of new perks for this Void SMG that make it significantly more competitive in PvE and PvP compared to its previous iteration.
The rolls listed above were determined based on their strong neutral game and overall consistency. There are quite a few other interesting combinations to be had, but the ones above are the most reliable.

Envious AssassinandFocused Furyis a good PvE combo because the latter only cares about a weapon’sbase magazine size. This means that after hitting14 Precision Hits, Focused Fury will end up empowering all remaining bullets, including the overflowed ones from Envious Assassin. The bigger magazine size also means players can afford to miss more while trying to get Focused Fury up and running.
Another good PvE roll isPugilistandSwashbuckler. This is a tried-and-tested combo that’s perfect for melee-centric builds. Players can also go forRepulsor Braceif they want to focus ona Volatile Rounds build.
Perpetual MotionandRangefinderis a battle-proven perk combo for the Crucible. The former makes the gun feel smoother while the latter extends its range by a couple of meters, making it more competitivewith PvP’s top dogslike The Immortal and the IKELOS SMG. However, with a potential rework to the interaction between Zoom and Range on the horizon, more adventurous Guardians can instead tryOff-hand StrikewithGutshot Straightto turn The Title into a hip-firing machine.
Destiny 2is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
