With the release of Season of the Deep,Destiny 2provides some additional Exotic Quests. One of the Exotic Questsadded from Season of the Deepis Exalting the Flame, which acts as both a guide and a quest for the Light subclass, Solar.

Exalting The Flame Rewards
There are four possible rewards from Exalting the Flame. Players can obtain the Legendary Grenade Launcher for their Power weapon slot. Exalting The Flame Steps
Step 1
To start Exalting the Flame, players need to speak to Ikora Rey in the Tower Bazaar. Within her inventory, they will find one of three Subclass-related quests, and Exalting the Flame is the one that will net them Solar-related rewards. Picking up this quest will begin thenext step of the venture.
Step 2
“Let the Light animate your every move.” —Ikora. For Step 2, players are going to want to equip their Solar subclass, and defeat targets that are affected by Scorch. Players will also need to cast their Solar Super three times and defeat 40 targets with their Solar abilities.
The most effective way to complete this step is to head into PvE activities like Strikes, Nightfalls, Dungeons, and even Raids. All of these activities will have a plentiful resource of enemies where players can build their Super meter, kill with Solar abilities, and experiment with Scorch. To effectively Scorch targets, players will want to equip Aspects and Fragments whilst looking for the Scorch keyword, which is already a vital stat for the best Solar builds inDestiny 2.
Step 3
Step 3 involves players heading out to the EDZ, as they will need to tackle the Lost Sector Skydock IV and loot the chest upon completion. This Lost Sector can be found in the EDZ by traveling to the Sunken Isles Landing Zone. It also helps that players can add a Waypoint to track the direction of the Lost Sector. It can be found underneath the Echion Hold.

Once inside Skydock IV, players will befaced with Cabal forces. Luckily, there are no Champions to worry about, so players can use any weapon they feel comfortable with to clear out the Lord Sector. Players can even ignore enemies altogether, and run through the corridors to kill the Colossus that holds the Cache Code to unlock the Lord Sector chest, thus completing Step 3.
Step 4
With Step 4 completed, players can say goodbye to the EDZ for now, as they will be heading back to the safety of the Tower. From the Tower, players need to head back to Ikora Rey, and the best have some Glimmer on them. Players need to opentheir Solar subclassfrom Ikora Rey’s inventory screen and purchase some Grenades.
Step 5
Step 5 is a great way to teach New Light players how they can learn the new abilities they have just purchased for their subclass. Players will need to leave Ikora Rey’s inventory screen to head to the Meditation device, which is conveniently right next to Ikora in the Bazaar
Step 6
Speaking once again to Ikora Rey for Step 6, she will reward players with an Exotic piece of armor. Each of these pieces of armor is specific and guaranteed for each Class, and they will all relate to the Solar subclass, enhancing the abilities of the Guardian that uses them. Picking up the Exotic armor reward from Ikora will begin Step 7.

Step 7
Step 7 is a quick one, and all players need to do is equip the Exotic that they just obtained from Ikora Rey. With this Exotic armor equipped, they can begin Step 8. If players made the mistake of dismantling this Exotic piece of armor, they can opentheir Exotic Collectionsto acquire the piece of armor again for a low cost of Glimmer and Legendary Shards.
Step 8
Players are faced with the biggest challenge for Exalting the Flame, as Ikora Rey will task players with heading into The Arms Dealer, a Strike that can be found in the EDZ. Players need to use their Solar subclass and the Exotic armor they receivedfrom Ikora Reyto complete this quest step.
The Arms Dealer will see three Guardians tackle a new Bracus Zahn in this EDZ Strike to stop this Zahn from supplying weapons to the Shadow Legion. The Arms Dealer Strike is no cakewalk but with the teamwork from three Guardians, completing Step 8 shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
Step 9
Now that The Arms Dealer Strike has been completed, players can finally finish the Exalting the Flame quest. Returning to the Tower for a victory lap, players will want to head to Banshee-44 in the Tower Courtyard for their reward. Completing the quest will net them the Cry Mutiny Grenade Launcher, thus completing the Exotic Quest from the Solar subclass.
