data nullifier boss fight in avalon

Reaching Data Nullifier

There’s an Avalop skip inDestiny 2that requires players to progress past the first encounter of Access Codes, which can be a dangerous mission in itself due to thehigh-spawning Vexof Hobgoblins, Wyverns and Minotaurs. However, with a competent fireteamand the right builds, Guardians should be able to push past this section to reach the next encounter.

At the next encounter, players will find themselves in a Gambit-like mode, where they need to defeat Vex to gather data and deposit it within the centre of the arena to take shelter against the upcoming deletion programme. It’s best to watch out for the Wyverns that spawn with around 10 seconds left on the clock, as players will be a sitting duck within this hole. However, aWarlock with Starfire Protocolmay help.

After doing the data collection phase two times, players will be able to damage the Data Nullifier boss, which is nothing but a Hydra. The Data Nullifier boss will take around two phases, meaning players will have to repeat the data collection section again. However, in Data Nullifier’s defeat, players can reach the Avalon cheese skip.

With the Data Nullifier boss out of the way, players will want to run and jump their way to the next section out of the boss arena. However, players will want to be slow, as when they run out of the archway, and onto the platform that requires players to jump to the next section, they will instead want to turn around from this ledge and jump down until they are standing on the platform with the Vex milk.

From this platform, players will want to sprint and make a straight line, directly to the centre of the Vex milk circle. If players jump at the right time, they will fall through this Vex milk and land underneath the map, skipping the entire next section and teleporting directly to the Node Core, which is where players will battle the Avalon final boss, Variant Stalker Brakion, Repurposed Mind.

Players may remember Brakion from a Strike on Io, but in Legend difficulty, this boss is stronger than ever, which is why it’s a great thing there are plenty of cheese spots to guarantee the safety of the player, and ensure they do not end up wiping back to the first phase of the boss fight that may makeOryx, The Taken Kinglook like a cake walk.

phase 1 Brakion fight in a cheese spot

No More Wish Ender

For the first phase of the encounter with Brakion, players will want to immediately run to the left of the arena as they activate the boss fight. From the left of the ramp, the player can hide in a small ditch. From here, enemy Vex is unable to teleport to the player’s location, and Brakion’s shots will shoot the ceiling above them. However, players should still be careful not to peak too much.

It’s best to focus Brakionwith the Leviathan’s Breath Exotic bow, as it will keep Brakion stunned. Grenade launchers and Void scout rifles will also help clear any enemies that are in the way, until eventually, Brakion will retreat to the next floor, beginning the second phase.

Bungie has patched the Brakion cheese that players knew, in which they could use the Wish Ender Exotic bow to effectively defeat Brakion’s second phase, even when they are safe and hiding within the shields of their cube. With this patched, the only way to get Brakion to their third phase is to play the game as intended but keep safe for this second phase, as the final step approaches.

Brakion Final Phase Cheese Spot

After fighting through to Brakion’s Access Gate, players will begin the third and final phase of the fight. This phase is no joke, and as players enter, they are immediately greeted with the potential of their demise. Vex are everywhere here, with Brakion running amok amongst them. However, avoid the Minotaurs, Goblins and Fanatics, players will want to immediately enter the third phase room and run to the right.

From the right of the room, there will be a swirling Vex milk fountain. From behind her, the Vex and Brakion are unable to shoot through it. This Vex milk fountain acts as a wall, and players are safe to stand behind it while Brakion and their forces can do nothing more than watch. However, touching the Vex milk will cause damage to the player, so it’s best to hug the wall and keep that face close to the Vex milk.

From this spot, playing it slow is the way to play. It may not be as effective as the Wish Ender cheese, but this is still an entirely viable and easy way to beat Avalon inDestiny 2. From this Vex milk wall, players can shoot past it to land their shots. As great as the Gjallarhorn is, explosives are not the best weapon to bring. Perhaps a bow, linear fusion rifle, or scout rifle, until Brakion is no more, and players can claim their prize from the final chest.
