Deadpool 3will feature some familiar faces. Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna will return as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio in the Marvel Studios movie starring Ryan Reynolds' Merc with the Mouth.
Hildebrand and Kutsuna, who played mutants Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio, respectively, willreturn forDeadpool 3after playing the superpowered couple inDeadpool 2. While Hildebrand has been involved since the start ofDeadpool, Kutsuna was an addition for its sequel two years after its first movie. They are among the latest actors confirmed to return inDeadpool 3.

Deadlinewas the first to report the two actresses returning. “Actresses Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna have closed deals to return forDeadpool 3, joining Ryan Reynolds and many more in the threequel that Shawn Levy will direct and produce for Marvel Studios.” They also detailed what kind of roles they play in the franchise. “Hildebrand reprises her role from the first two filmsas Negasonic Teenage Warhead, the mutant cohort of Reynolds' Merc with a Mouth, with the ability to generate nuclear explosions. Kutsuna plays Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend Yukio, a Japanese mutant ninja introduced inDeadpool 2.”
Deadline summarized who will also return forDeadpool 3. “OtherDeadpoolveterans returning for the threequel include Karan Soni, Leslie Uggams, Morena Baccarin, Stefan Kapicic, and Rob Delaney, who respectively portray Deadpool’s cab driver sidekick Dopinder, his roommate Blind Al, his fiancée Vanessa (who was killed and then revived in the sequel), the metallic mutant Colossus and human X-Force member Peter.” It also reported the newcomers beingHugh Jackman as Wolverine, Emma Corrin, and Matthew MacFayden.
Bringing Hildebrand back as the moody teenage mutant inDeadpool 3provides a fun dynamic with Deadpool given that his smart mouth collides with her no-nonsense vindictiveness that comes with being a teenager. Their dynamic is hilarious, given she’s one of the few people who will not take his crap. Bringing her back should keep the comedy solid. Adding her girlfriend Yukio on top of that also makes that dynamic funnier, given how bubbly and friendly Yukio is, which makes her such a foil for Negasonic Teenage Warhead and allows her to fit smoothly next to Wade when the two interact.
At the same time,plenty of time has passed sinceDeadpool 2, so there may be changes to the characters since it will have been over six years between the franchise’s second and third installments. No one saw Vanessa’s death coming inDeadpool 2, and even though they undid her untimely death, the movie spent most of its time without her, meaning that the writers have no qualms about going in an entirely different direction from what fans will expect. Whether that will be a good choice forDeadpool 3remains to be seen.
Deadpool 3is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 20, 2025.
