In spite of the condition that USG Ishimura is in, there are a lot of locked doors thatDead Spaceplayers don’t have access to. Even with gradually upgrading security clearancesover the course of the story, there are still some doors and crates that can’t be opened. They require a Master Override clearance to unlock them.

The tricky part, however, is that this special level of security clearance cannot be acquired through the main story. Instead, players must complete a side quest called ‘You Are Not Authorized’. This guide will showDead Spaceplayers how to complete this side quest and where to find the all the doors and creates that Master Override clearance.

How to Start ‘You Are Not Authorized’

This side quest can bestarted in the fourth chapter. After meeting with Hammond in the Captain’s Nest, there is a terminal to the right that players can access. Once started, this side quest requires players to track down seven RIGs of high ranking officers from the Ishimura crew. Even though players can get this side quest during the fourth chapter, they won’t be able to get all the RIGs until the tenth chapter. The locations of the rigs are as follows.

Return to the Bridge

Once players have obtained all the RIGs, they must return to the Captain’s Nest and use the same terminal to create a Master Override code. Unlike the security clearance level, players get to keep the Master Override code if they beat the game and start New Game Plus.

Where to Find the Master Override Doors/Chests

Once players have the Master Override code, they can use it to open doors and containers that have a star icon on them. These rooms and chests hold valuable resources along with upgrades for weaponslike the Line Gun. The locations for these doors and containers is as follows.
