The Boss Rush update is already available for PC players and will beavailable for console playersin a few weeks. Motion Twin mentioned that mobileDead Cellsplayers can expect the update at “some point in the future.” Boss Rush consists of four stages with each having its own conditions. All stages require players to fight a certain number of bosses back-to-back, but only two stages have modifiers, which means the bosses have been modified to make the fight more difficult.

There are some other tweaks to the update that depend on the original gameplay. Players will only encounter bosses they have fought before, and they will be pulled randomly from three different tiers with three differentDead Cells' bosscategories each, which all have their own set level of difficulty. The specifications of each tier are outlined in detail in Motion Twin’s video. As players progress through the boss stages, more things will unlock depending on certain gameplay aspects, such as difficulty level. Extra gameplay additions include a tactic weapon, brutality skill, and a mutation called “Wish.”
