Thanks to both theCyberpunk: Edgerunnersanimeand the latest update forCyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red’s most recent title has seen millions of players flock to it in recent weeks.Multiple factors have contributed to the revival ofCyberpunk 2077’splayer base, including the announcement of the Phantom Liberty expansion coming to the game in 2023, the critically acclaimedCyberpunk: Edgerunnersanime adaptation, and the consistent release of patches for the title that have seen it improve greatly from the days of its buggy launch. Following a cryptic post on the developer’s Twitter, players were informed that a “runner found a weird code” in the Net. Should a player find this code’s location in Night City, they will get a message from a fixer about some “preem hardware.” A blog post onCyberpunk 2077’swebsite showed off what this “preem hardware” is by featuring an image of a custom RTX 4090.
TheRTX 4090 is the latest top-tier graphics card from Nvidia, and the customCyberpunk 2077version comes with a unique backplate featuring a design inspired by Samurai, Johnny Silverhand’s band. Three custom graphics cards are available, with the first being awarded to the player who finds the code locked away inCyberpunk 2077,though no one is really sure where they can find this secret code at the moment. Through the hints on CD Projekt Red’s website and Twitter, fans have currently narrowed down the location of the code to being somewhere in Arasaka Tower. Over the coming weeks, CD Projekt Red will provide clues to two more tasks or challenges, leading to two additional RTX 4090 graphic cards being given away.
For the first task, it hasn’t yet been discovered what this code actually is or where it can be found in Arasaka Tower. As the headquarters of theArasaka Corporation in Night City, the Arasaka Tower is a huge complex where plenty of secrets could be hidden. Some players think the code will be an item found in the building, while others believe they’ll be able to earn their custom RTX 4090 through hacking into a terminal. Whichever way the secret is unlocked, the race is still on for anyone wanting to win some “preem” gaming hardware.
