Any game with deep enough character customization options will eventually inspire its players and fans to start recreating their favorite characters.Destiny 2is no exception, and its potential continues to grow, as developer Bungie adds new cosmetic options for players to use (and purchase) regularly. Players have recreated classic characters, like Bungie’s own Master Chief fromHalo, but also even recent designs, like theSuper Earth soldiers fromHelldivers 2.

Recreating Batman Using Destiny 2 Armor Ornaments
The Batman design seen inDestiny 2was created by a user on Reddit who goes by Spidercides. In a post on the DestinyFashion subreddit community, Spidercides shared their results, which use the armor ornaments employed by aDestiny 2Titan Guardian to approximate a more armored-up version of a Batman design. Given theDestiny 2Titan class' natural affinity for bulky, armored outfit design, the look almost seems like it could’ve come out ofthe best fight scene fromBatman V Superman.
Spidercides also shared the parts they used in creating their customizedDestiny 2Batman outfit. Two premium items, namely the Nemean Helm and the N7 Plate from the recentMass Effect X Destiny 2crossover update, played key roles in achieving Batman’s unique silhouette. Meanwhile, Kabr’s Brazen Grips from the Vault of Glass Raid and the Retro-Grade TG2 arms copied the “bladed” look of Batman’s gauntlets and his bulky boots, respectively. The monochrome Erebos Glance shader gives the outfit a dark color, but Spidercides also used the yellowish Skele-Ghaul shader with the Legacy’s Oath Mark to copy Batman’s iconic utility belt.
On seeing the outfit, players praised Spidercides' efforts, which worked well to copy Batman’s look within the relative limitations ofDestiny 2’s character aesthetic. Others lamented those same limitations, wishing Titans could wear longer capes and robes without impinging on other classes' visual identity. For example, only Hunters get long capes and cloaks, which can be used in particularly striking superhero cosplay, such as forHomelander fromThe Boys. Meanwhile, the Titans must make do with the waist-fastened mark. Even so, the sheer variety available inDestiny 2fashion helps cement it as a long-running haven for player expression and creativity.
