WhileGame of Throneshas been off the air for a couple of years now, it’s still one of the most popular shows to ever air on broadcast television. However, while some people spend time still arguing about whichGame of Throneshouse is the best, Ciaran Hinds recently admitted that he still hasn’t even finished watching the series.
It’s not completely unheard of that an actor doesn’t want to watch their work on screen. Sometimes it’s a matter of being a bit embarrassed about their performance. Sometimes they feel as if seeing what they look like when they are in character will somehow negatively affect their performance the next time. Other times, as is apparently the case with oneGame of Thronesactor, it’s a matter of just losing interest in the show once they are no longer a part of it.

Hinds, who DC fans might recognize as thevoice of Steppenwolf inJustice League, recently gave an interview where he admitted that he hasn’t watchedGame of Thronessince his character was killed off. However, when talking toNMEhe also made it clear that at some point, he is going to sit down and watch the HBO series from start to finish. Hinds played Mance Rayder, the leader of the Free Folk who were just trying to make their way in the winter wasteland that was located beyond the wall.
While also admitting that once Rayder was killed off, he stopped watching the show, he talked about how important he thought the character was and why Rayder was such a popular character. Hinds said that he liked Rayder because he was someone who knew he had the capability to lead and to be a spokesman for the Free Folk. At the same time, he was a reluctant leader who didn’t put himself above the rest of theband of raiderson Game of Thrones. He added he felt as though that’s why people followed the character, before saying he didn’t watch the show after he was killed off.
Hinds didn’t elaborate on why exactly he stopped watching the show once he left. It’s possible he wasn’t particularly happy that his stay onGame of Throneswas fairly short. The big question now is, when he does sit down to watch the rest of the series, will he be asdisappointed by theGame of Thronesfinaleas most of the fans were.
