It was during afirefight inModern Warfare’sGround Warthat Reddit user Sgt-MadLad decided to climb up a nearby rope. Firing two shots out of their akimbo pistols, they approached the rope and mounted it. While this is a normal action, what happened is far from it, as their akimbo hands did not drop the pistols. Instead, a third arm appears out of their chest and secures onto the rope, allowing them to climb up. While ascending, their pistols are still out, making them usable in what’s a normally vulnerable state.
The clip quickly gained attention on Reddit as players commented on the strange occurrence. To many, it almost appears as if they have another operator strapped to their back offering hand support during the battle. While some players would appreciate the extra arm in the game, this is obviously astrangeCall of Duty: Modern Warfarebugmanifesting during the match.
Most fans are guessing that the bug involves onlytheCall of Dutyakimbo pistols. Although rare, there have been other instances documented throughout the game where akimbo users simply would not put down their guns. Still, many fans would argue that this is a minor bug, and reporting it is rather unnecessary.
Based on the title of the video, Sgt-MadLad is no doubt surprised at the sudden appearance of the extra arm. While in the clip they progressed as if nothing happened, many fans would be curious to know if MadLad’s teammates saw the extra arm appear as well.
Still, this bug could provide an unfair advantage, as the guns appeared to still be usable. While this would be a situational advantage, it is enough tochange the tide of a battle inWarzoneor similar game modes. Depending on the weapon being affected, players could be ascending with an extra hand more often if not repaired soon.
