Modern Warfare 2also features two new modes in Prisoner Rescueand Knock Out, with Activision changing the available playlists on a regular basis to give players more choices outside the core options. Gamers can also take part in large-scale battles in Invasion, which pits two teams of 20 players, with 20 AI opponents, against each other, so there seems to be a decent variety of modes available in the game. Now, someCall of Dutyfans want Infected to return toModern Warfare 2.

A Reddit user named accb1332 made a new post stating their desire to play the Infected game mode inModern Warfare 2.Infected has been available in previousCall of Dutygames, especially in Infinity Ward’s previousModern Warfaretitle from 2019. In this mode, players are tasked with infecting other users in the lobby as the opposing team aims to survive the onslaught. Accb1332 asked other players on Reddit for their opinion on Infected, and it seems like many fans also want to see it return inModern Warfare 2.
Some players state that Infected is their favorite game mode inCall of Dutymultiplayer, while others think of it as a fun party mode. One fan mentions that they want Activision to release theModern Warfare 3version of Infected, with users also naming other game modes they want to see come back. It looks like many fans want Gun Game to return inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, with some votes for Gunfight as well.
There may be some good news on the horizon, as a leak suggested that bothGun Game and Gunfight will be added toModern Warfare 2in a future update. This is in addition to another leak that stated that Cranked and Plunder are also coming, so it looks likeCall of Dutyfans will have a ton of varied game modes to try out. These modes may come as soon as Season 2 ofModern Warfare 2, which is scheduled to launch on February 15, but there is no official confirmation on the new content as yet.
