Summary
Fans quickly realize that the Sattiq Cave Complex map loading screen forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2features a surprising mouse icon that was never properly hidden or removed. Most Call of DUty fans have shifted their attention to the recently revealed Modern Warfare 3, which aims to continue the story of the previous two games with Task Force 141, while also bringing back theoriginal trilogy’s villain Vladimir Makarov. However, even with fan anticipation set for Modern Warfare 3, the current game continues to get updates and new content to keep fans logging in day after day.
Season 5 ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2kicked off last month, bringing with it a host of new changes and content including new operators like Graves, Oz, and a collaboration with Crystal Dynamics bringing Tomb Raider’s own Lara Croft into the popular franchise. New maps including Strike and former beachtown resort Punta Mar were also added into the multiplayer experience, though some fans seem fixated on an old map which has a small little humorous error that many players now can unsee with its loading screen.

On theCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2subReddit, a user named TonyTwoNukes posted a screenshot of the current loading screen for theSattiq Caves Complex map which was originally added in Season 3. At first glance, the image looks fairly normal, with a pulled back shot of the map with the focus on the burning downed plane in the center. However, towards the bottom of the image under the airplane, the user noticed a small little detail that appears to be a mouse cursor one would normally see from a PC. Clearly, this is an error on the developer’s part, either forgetting to move the mouse out of the way when taking a screenshot or when pulling an image from a video file of some sort.
While not a huge deal by any means, especially when compared to some ofModern Warfare 2’s current bugs and glitch related issues, many fans seemed to be surprised that a small detail such as this was overlooked completely especially from a big developer such as Infinity Ward. Others agreed that while this is a funny mistake, it’s ultimately harmless and that if people want to be upset about something, there are bigger game issues that should be focused on instead.
In fact, there seem to be plenty of players who seem to have more of an issue with therecently added M13C Assault Rifle in Season 5, which many have taken to calling pointless. When compared to otherModern Warfare 2weapons, such as the similar M13B Assault Rifle from Season 1, the M13C comes up short, lacking in overall performance with decreased range and higher recoil. As such, it seems many players are simply passing on this weapon for older and better performing weapons.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
