To start off, Bungie said that this week was “one of the most difficult weeks in our studio’s history, as we’ve parted ways with people we respect and admire.” The developer then went on to acknowledge howLightfalland the subsequent Seasons didn’t meet players’ expectations and promised that the situation is going to change. Furthermore, to reassure the fans thatDestiny 2is in capable hands despite the layoffs, it also revealed that around 650 developers are working on the game.
