“Unlocking” Fast Travel

After enteringSavalon, the player is shown some conversation which acts as an introduction to the kingdom. Following this, one of the people who were having the conversation will have a horse-wagon icon appear above their head. On interacting with that person, the game gives a quick explanation aboutWagons, which is the name of the fast-travel service inBravely Default 2. There are at this point only 2 options on the menu,Halcyonia, andSavalon. But this list will expand asplayers explore the remaining 3 kingdomsofExcillant.

Using Fast-Travel

Once done with the prologue, players can interact with any of theWagonvendors present near the entrance of each kingdom andEnderno. This will open up theWagonsmenu where the player can simply select any otherWagonvendor’s location to fast-travel there. It is imperative to remember that fast-travel only works FROM and TO theWagonvendors and nowhere else. If a player wishes to go anywhere else on the map, their best bet is to fast-travel to the closest vendor and walk from thereto the objective.

In Conclusion

And a feature like fast-travel is absolutely necessary for players to maximize explorative efficiency while minimizing the time consumed. Exclusive to the Switch,Bravely Default 2provides an old-school JRPG feel and heavy yet enjoyable story immersion. And this makes it a game worth grinding for 100% completion.
