WhileBeyond Good and Evilreceiving the movie treatment is a surprise, it does not break away from the rapidly growing trend of upcoming video game films. 2020 has been a year when the entertainment industry embraced video game content like never before. This is likely due to the success of numerous video game features, with this year’sSonic The Hedgehog Moviebreaking box office milestones.

TheBeyond Good and Evilmovie is just the latest of a growing lineup of film projects produced by the publisher. The production studio currently has six film projects underway withBeyond Good and Evilactually being the second one with Netflix, the other beingTom Clancy’s The Divisionfilm projectwhich is set to release this year.
